Since I put on my AEM short ram I have felt a dramatic increase in power especially when in the lift RPM range. The tires even break loose but not all the way and they kind of skip and make the front end fell like it is shaking, I know it is the tires spinning, but is it just because they are not totally burning out??? just a little spin. ps, i can't believe how much louder and more power an intake gives you.

don't know if this helps - mine does this and I haven't done CAI yet. I wonder if stiffer bushings or lower (higher rate) springs would help. Anyone with these mods?Previous thread:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1684

I had the same thing, then I got some much better wheels and tires (Nitto 555's) that put the extra torque to better use. But it doesn't pay to put them on in the winter. Use this time to save up for some better tires so you'll be ready to rip up the road in the summer.

it's called "wheel hop" most cars suffer from this.... it is normal...post this in the suspension sectionand you might get a clearer answer and/or solutions to the problem..this has nothing to do with forced induction.
Wheelhop, as defined by caranddriver.com:An undesirable suspension characteristic in which a wheel (or several) moves up and down so violently that it actually leaves the ground. Wheel hop can be caused by many problems, including excessive unsprung weight, insufficient shock damping, or poor torsional axle control. I fixed the wheel hop problem I had in my last car by replacing the original engine mount inserts and suspension bushings with polyurethane bushings.

i put urethane mount inserts in my old sunfire. i did not like it at all when sitting at a stoplight, the hole car shook like a pan of jiffy pop! but, it did get rid of the wheel hop and alloed me to kill my cv joints!!i do find though i get more wheel hop in the winter time when the tires are colder?????????? you would think sticky tires would hop more????
True...but my Vibe was doing it in the summer too Probably the Dunlops on my car causing a lot of it though. Sticky on dry pavement (suck in all other conditions lol)
