2005 cosmo CAI installed

Post by rlfreese »

I got my intake today and slapped it on in like 15 minuites. It was real easy and fit really well. I have a 2005 base model and the intake has all the necessary plumiong except for a hose lon enough to reach the intake. There was no need to modify it in any way. i will be making a how to on this if you want to sticky it. pics coming tomorrow

ok here are some pics so those 05ers can make sure they have the proper intake. I ordered the 05 cosmo intake and needed to only modify the length of the extra vaccum hose on the 05 vibe. here are some pics and I am working on an how to for us 05ers. I will write a short "how-to" right now for you. The intake should go on pretty easy if you follow the directions. The filter is the hardest part, it should face towards the tire inside the fender well. this is the only way it will fit. you must remove the black plastic to get it in there. The extra hose nipple is easy to make if you want to. all you need is a rubber gromet like shown and a nipple to attach a hose to. you will need to buy more hose cause the stock one is too short and they dont supply a longer one. other than taht just plug the little nipple or cap it like i did and you will be good to go. I have driven 300 miles and no cel.this is a pic of the new vaccum hose attachment that was on my 05 cosmo intake. I did not create it it was there already from the dealer. Here is a pic of the nipple that you have to block off with a rubber sleeveHere is the installed intake, i love it
