Feeler Thread for Racing Stripes

Post by vibeman614 »

I was thinking about how racing stripes would look on the vibe so when i got home today took a pic of my vibe and used the paint on the computer and painted them on. I wanna know what everyone thinks about it and how you think it looks, i love the way it turned out and im thinking about getting it made but i wanted to see what other vibers felt about it.

I like it, think it looks good, especially with the body kit. Good choice on color too.

Thanks for the feedback everyone im glad everyone likes it. Ill work on getting a shot with it of the rear and on the top and will post it asap. About the color, Blue did turned out looking the best, plus all my neons under and inside are blue so it will match that. . Im definitly going to keep this mod in mind though. I know a place that can do this and ill swing by there in a couple days and get an estimate and keep everyone updated.

I think those stripes look good. The only problem is that the Vibe's acceleration won't live up to the image - and it doesn't matter what you do to that tiny engine. Now put a V-8 in there with an ungraded powertrain and slicks and you might have something. Probably not much, though.

i think it looks great, especially the blue on white. i could go eleanor on my moonstone with some black stripes. then i could cry because it still wouldn't be a '67 fastback...

Im not sure of the whole double stripe thing over white. I do like it but maybe a little different style. You think you could send me a couple of pics of the front and side view i would like to give it a shot. ksaub73@sbcglobal.net

maybe you could taper the begining of the stripes to go with the lines of the front end. that might even look better.

Heres 4x4 request, it was a little hard to do the stripes like that. but it still looks good tough but if i had to chose i would do the orignal straight stripes instead.

just as some don't like my new grill, i'm gonna have to go for no on the racing stripes. or maybe smaller ones perhaps. maybe on an SS, but i'm going to have to say, unless you got a turbo under there, it just doesn't go. sorry, just mho.

I like it, but it wont go unless you've got atleast wheels and springs. You can't put stripes on something as high off the ground as a Vibe unless it's got stuff done to it....I also have a two tone so I wouldn't be able to do it It certainly does look wonderful though!

to me, a car doesnt have to be fast to have racing stripes, they just look cool. i mean, the spoilers on a vibe are non functional, but most like them because they look neato. i have seen chev blazers with racing stripes before, and when done right, just about any car can look good with them. i say go for it!

i have the solution! just put a sticker that says "got boost?" then, get a whistler tail pipe thingy, and people will think you have a turbo, and it will be ok to have racing stripes! stripe the SOB already, i would if i had the extra cash! and im two tone AWD.
