Seems to me they were significantly higher. Th 2001's were out in the spring of 2000. The bloom pretty much went off the rose not far into the 2002 model year. Lot of people with orders for 2001's got cancelled - and then a few months later there was a glut. Of course there was no "twin" like the Matrix.

The PT numbers would be interesting to see...Since 2001 it has not changed even for 2006, just new fascias, fog lamps and interior cosmetic changes. However what may have helped PT's numbers was the introduction with the PT Convertible. Oh yeah the Turbo engine may have helped too at one point...
I love how rare Vibe GTs are! I've had the car 3 months and have yet to see another Vibe GT!(By the way, living in the center of Las Vegas {a heavily populated area} makes this even more impressive)

Wow, i was expecting more Vibes than that. Oh, I meant to ask, is there a way you can find out what number your Vibe is? like 10,457 Vibe ever made or something like that?

the last five digits of your VIN indicate which number vibe it is for that particular year, so if you have a 2003 vibe, you can easily tell. If you have a 2004, you have to add in the total number of 2003 versions ever made (not sold) . If you have an 05, you have to add in the numbers for 03 and 04. Not sure what those numbers are though.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=824 tells what the rest of the VIN means
Here is Philly I rarely, if ever, see another GT. I think I've seen 1 GT in the past 7 months that I've been a Vibe owner - and therefore paying attention. Though recently there has been a plethora of base models popping up all over the place. In the great metropolis of Terre Haute, IN I saw 2 GT in one day. Weird.
Vibe GT '03, Lava Red 2-tone, 16" wheels, Moon'n'Tunes, Injen CAI, ACT clutch, vented rotors, Tein coil- overs, Grafxwerks decals, lead foot on the gas and white-knuckled fist on the stick & Hankook RS-3 for AutoX http://noraracing.net/
Here in duluth all i see are base models, i still havent seen a GT in the cities either. but down the block from me is a base vibe same color but monottone. Here at work there are two matrix's in the same lot i park in. Man i need to learn how to drive a stick better :/
