Just ordered XM a few q's

Post by McVibe »

Okay so I just ordered and XM reciever and I have a few questions. I have a myfi and I was just wondering if anyone had one of these and if so, how is the reception with the fm transponder? alos, could I connect this the same way as the i-pod trick that Vibration did to get better quality?

McVibe, I have a MiFI and initially used the fm modulator. I found that for my traveling back and forth to work it was ok. I had found a frequency that seemed to be clear over that distance. But, when going further into the "big city" I would start getting some station bleeding through. So in short it depends, but the FM modulator seems pretty good in the MyFi.On my '03 I ended up doing Hardwire IPOD mod described in the sticky. But even with that, I end up with some Engine noise, even with the use of a noise suppressor. I think I need further shielding on the AUX input line running from the Radio to the MyFi.Hope this helps,Namron
