Hey guys...was wondering what others thought of the two vehicles in quesiton here. I am currently looking to replace my '95 Integra sedan(The Vibe is still staying with the family) with either of the above, but am looking for some non-biased opinions. Its really funny asking the same questions on volvo/acura boards...all of the volvo guys completely shut down the tsx, and vice versa on the acura boards. So here is the deal. I think both are excellent cars in their own rite; I love the TSX for its relative value, reliability, and oh-so-sweet 6 speed tranny. I like the s40 for its european flair, safety and non-ubiquitous factor (I see A LOT of TSXs on the road now). Priced out, the volvo is SLIGHTLY more expensive, but this is negated by the financing rates offered at the moment. Now I know this is a Vibe board, but does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!
Go with the TSX, the Volvos are just too plain and look like a little jazzier version of the Mazda 3 - platform sharing shows its ugly little head. Plus, I think the TSX will outgun it in every performance aspect. Plus, it's a very attractive little car. This coming from a guy who would rarely tout the merits of a Honda.Happy buying. And of course, the shameless Redline plug: You could go GM and buy a Saturn Ion Redline . . . it has four doors . . . sort of . . . and would probably trounce the TSX and the Volvo, although I haven't seen the numbers on them.
