My username should be easy to figure out. First name and then V for Vibe and GT since I have a GT. I don't have any nicknames and so I thought of how I could add my car to my username with my first name. I thought of VGT and I like it, the letters sound good together too.Later,

Remember the early (like before they were even released for sale) Vibe ad campaign, "Where's your Vibe, Duuude?" Well, as one of the older ones, but still not willing to totally give up Dudeism, I elected to go by OlDood, since even us OlDoods need our Vibes.

My story is cheesy. Back when I was 24--seems like forever ago--I needed a login for EBAY of all places. My first choice was taken--so I took the first name that popped in my head, which happened to be Shenandoah. Shenandoah was a cabinet line at the store where I first started as a kitchen designer. So ijust put together Shenandoah24, and it stuck. It's different, but with lots of room for typos... NOw I am 28, but I pretend like I am not getting older if I keep putting Shenandoah24 on everything---haha!!!!

Mine's kind of a play on words... I'm a devoted Linux geek, so the name originates from a dreaded crash in Linux and Unix: The kernel panic. Any time I hear "kernel panic" mentioned at work, I'll turn around and say "Yes?" If I used Windows, I'd probably call myself "General Protection Fault" or something like that. lol!

k ostby - First initial and last name. Not terribly creative or Vibe-centric, but I didn't yet own a Vibe when I joined 01-22-04. I actually purchased my (used) Vibe on 02-04-2004. Had I waited to join I probably would have used SalsaWagon.

Dark = a nickname I was given because I'm usually reserved and quiet in person, a "dark" personality. Cancerian = My zodiac sign.I also use DemonSage and Frost (because I'm usually a very cold-skinned person).

A farmer once asked a Zen master what the meaning of zen was. The master thought for a while, and replied, "Three pounds of flax."My sn was taken from that (rather confusing) parable and randomized a bit. Also, it isn't likely that I'll find another "Five Pounds of Swiss Cheese" somewhere and have to change my screen name.

I'm not sure how I got my user name (scratches crotch). People have been calling me that for years (adjust pants and scratches crotch again). I played a lot of baseball when I was a kid (going in deep and lifting one cheek to adjust boxer shorts), this might have had something to do with it! Actually...back in `91 when working for Turbo magazine and going to the first "Battle of the Imports", a bunch of tuner guys got to know us pretty good. But...them being Japanese and just arriving here in the country, they had a very difficult time pronouncing my last name: BELANGER, so it came out all garbled, and my best friend (who we now call "douche-bag") thought it sounded like "ballrub", and the nickname has stuck ever since! The funniest part is...my son goes by the user name "ballrub jr"!!!!

Wow. I've seen this thread a hundred times--just realized I've never posted mine. Weird. My name is Becky--Rebecca, and years ago my best friend started calling me Rebbie (rhymes with Debbie) instead of Rebecca. Then she needed something to go with it so that's where the "Rae" came in...Rae isn't even my middle name so I'm not sure where that came from, but it just sort of stuck. Now I have many names: She calls me 'Reb', my boyfriend calls me 'Bec', and being a family site I can't tell you what SOME people call me. But RebbieRae was my first screen name and it just stuck.

Can't believe I didn't see this thread sooner! Must have missed it.Well my username comes from the very first email address I ever created. It goes way back to when I was in the 11th grade (that would be in 1997) and I was taking a computer class and we had to create an email address.Well me being uncreative and it was a last minute deal, I decided to use the initials for my first name."Jaycie" = "J" and "C" which stands for Julien Christiethen the "685" comes from how many letters I have in my first name, middle, and last names.I know, how creative right? Though that email address is no longer active, I still use Jaycie685 for my login/username for a lot of websites.
