high heat engine enamel. clean it, prime it, wet sand, lots of layers, then clear it. i did a sorta "how to" on my car domain page.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/388840/6
i just cleaned and painted with krylon fusion for plastic. I didnt bother to prime or sand or clear coat, and so far so good. I live in a more moderate climate so maybe that a reason I havent had any issues yet *knock on wood ..

Lots of paints will work depending on the item. For example Rustoleum will work perfectly for brake Rotor hats, brake calipers and brackets. I have used it on rear drums too. No need to buy high heat paint for brake calipers... I have also used normal clear for under the hood as well as high heat. Some high heats need to get to high temperature rated on the can i.e. 500 or 1800 degrees depending on the manf/paint, before they will cure, watch this...Oh and my stuff is always perfectly done by me!
hell, my VIBE AWD banner is peeling, so is my front arrowhead overlay. not to mention the dent in the gate, dirty headliner, curbed rims. all these things are trivial to me, i still love my car.
