Allen wrench needed to remove the MAFS??

None of my allen wrenches fit, so does anyone know the size needed? As for cleaning it, someone recommended spray carb cleaner, but the Gumout Carb & Choke cleaner I have contains petroleum -- wouldn't this pose a problem??EDIT: I believe Goodvibe made the spray carb cleaner recommendation (thanks)

The MAF sensor? On the intake? That's phillips head dude.

Not mine...it's definitely not a phillips head..EDIT: Since it's bolted up to my AEM intake, I couldn't see the screws, so I used a little mirror just to check...and it's not a phillips head...

I have a spare AEM CAI for XRS at home. I can check the size after work unless someone posts up before me.

Thanks Mase, I was thinking maybe they were the screws that came with the intake. Of course, had *I* installed the intake myself, I would know the answer to this question .

lets get this cleared up! my MPG isnt what i would like, so i prob need to do this too. (never have cleaned it @65k+)just spray the crap on and wipe?

I bought a recharge kit at pep boys. You have to take off the filter, spray it out from the inside outward (to push any dirt off the filter instead of driving it in to the filter further), then use an oil based cleaner, spray it off, then put the filter oil on. give it a good day to do, and obviously, you can't drive the car without that filter on.

I've read in one thread at matrixowners.com that using a Q-tip and rubbing alchohol is fine, while Goodvibes recommended a spray carb cleaner...I don't want to chance the latter since it contains petroleum (wouldn't this leave a residue?)

Sorry, I just got your message. I'll have to check my settings at home. The petrol in carb cleaner works as a solvent to wash away the oil by dilution. It then evaporates and leaves the surface pretty clean. Nonlubricating clear Contact cleaner, non residue brake cleaner etc. will also work, as I suppose would mineral spirits but the sprays are easier to use liberally. Acetone would be a bad choice. You can CAREFULLY whipe the excess fluid off and get an even cleaner surface.
