Do you smoke or let people smoking in your Vibe?Persanally, I remove the ashpan from my Vibe as my gj and I do not somke and I refuse someone smoke into my Vibe.
Same here. No eating, no coffee and no smoking in my Vibe. I don't smoke and no one in mine or my wife's family smokes that ride in my car. The only thing that has come into my car has been 20 oz. soda's with the cap on. No drinking in the car either, at least until I can spray the seats and floor with Scotch Guard.

I guess I'm just a bad guy. I smoke in my VIbe so if a friend of mine smokes, they can smoke in it too. I don't use the ashtray, I use the window. WOW what a litter bug I am.
Abyss Monotone GT, 6 speed, Moon & Tunes, Power Group, and 16" Alloys. Soon you can see my Vibe GT at Shadowrealm's car pics but for now it is under construction!
I do smoke in Da Vibe--But the ashcan is strictly for change. I don't like the smell of ashtrays. So I ash out the window, and kepp the glade plug-in, plugged in, and my car still smells nummy.....I know smoking is bad....I should quit....I will someday....

My dealer had a used frosty Vibe on his lot for a very good price. I think it had been a lease or company car turned back in. I cracked open the door and could go no farther. The smoking stench was so foul I promised the dealer he'd never sell the car unless it had the carpet and anything else with the smell in it replaced. That car sat on his lot for two months, then disappeared for a week. I bumped into my salesman, and asked him about it. He said although the manager "insisted" it would sell as is, the dealership owner finally forced him to have the smell removed, no matter what was required. So it was in the service bay with the entire interior removed. A week later it was back on the lot with a new "smell", (and completely new interior) and was sold in two days. When shopping for a house, one we were shown was a smoker's house, and smelled the same as that car. Although it was a tight housing market at that time, I suggested to the seller they pay someone to have it stripped of carpet and drapes, rewallpapered/painted, or they would never sell it. It sat on the market for 6 months, until finally they did just as I suggested. There were crews in and out of that house for a month. They then sold it within 2 weeks. I tell my college students that if they smoke they will probably not get an A in my class. It's not my policy, but rather a statistic culled from comparing grades of the last 20 years of non-smoking students against smoking students. Other than that smokers generally miss 15 minutes every hour of my 3 hour class, and miss more days for smoking related poor health, I have no idea what would be the cause of the poorer grades. Don't smoke. Why? Just because you know you shouldn't. Do something extremely nice for yourself by quiting.KSNeptune
We have lived in our house for 17 years. The people who lived in it before us had one smoker in the family. He always went to a little workshop in the basement, nothing fancy, beside the furnace to smoke. To this day I can still smell the stench of tobacco in that area. Absolutely disgusting. In response to Neptune's statstics on smokers. Employers are able to legally refuse to hire someone if they are a smoker. Research and statistics prove that smokers take much more time off, are less productive when they do show up and are a much higher liability to benefit plans. It just makes good business sense to pass on a smoker. Of course there are exceptions to every rule. There are some smokers who are excellent employees too.Smoking...the world's largest form of mass suicide.

"and kepp the glade plug-in, plugged in, and my car still smells nummy....."In reply to Heathers Comment...............what a good idea.Would have never thougt of that.Gonna plug one in tonight on my way home.Thanks.
Glad I could help out!!!! Glade plug-in is the only way to go!!!!! The one that I have is made for large rooms, it is supposed to hold 2 "cartridges at a time. I on.y put in one though. Most of the other plug ins won't really fit. I tried the nite light one and the extra plug one and I couldn't get them truned correctly so they would stay plugged in....but the one for large rooms works great!!!! Have a great day!!!!
