If you had to replace your beloved Vibe with something else, what would it be?(I'm sure Colonel Panic would say either public transit or a skateboard!)

Honda Civic HX - best gas mileage for a pure gasoline engine, plus a sub $15k price tag. I was this close (insert thumb next to index finger image here) to buying one instead of my Vibe.
I would probably replace mine with a Mazda 3 wagon. I like having the versitility that a hatch offers. Or if Nissan would produce the "Sport" concept from this year I would get one of those. But right now there is nothing I would rather drive for the money.

For me: The Vibe is getting replaced with an '06 Sonata GLS V6, either late this year or early next year. Laugh if you will, vibers.

i'd probably be back in a small truck of some sort. likely a tacoma or a frontier. the vibe addresses my old complaint of not having enough passenger space, but even as versatile as the interior is, it'll never match the utility of my old truck.
A Matrix, of course. But if not that then a Corolla. Reliable, safe, good mileage - all the things I looked for in the Vibe but not the cargo room. I'd seriously consider a Mazda 3 if the cargo room was a dominating issue. But safety and mileage aren't as good, and those tend to be tops as my car is mostly a commuter, and I have the kid with a lot (to/from grandparents and daycare).

Perhaps I should answer the original question too...LOLIf not the Vibe, and if money were no object, I'd love to have an electric blue G6 coupe...beautiful car. If I was short on cash...I'd get a V6 Dodge Avenger (yes I know it's a madeover Mitsu...LOL...I just love the look of that car, always have)
Ooooh yeah...can't forget the GTO if money is *seriously* no object...LOL. It'd have to be a 2004 so I could get Cosmos Purple though...that's a beautiful machine too...
I'd go for the Infinity FX 45, or the Chevy Avalanche, plus keep the Vibe for the beater.

To answer my own question, it would have to be something similar, maybe one of the Subies, maybe a Mazda3.Or the Chrysler 300, just because its SO Al Capone gangster-looking.But it would have to have a REAL hemi.Full tilt 426 cubic inch monster, baby. Not the pukey little "pretend" hemi they have in there now.

it would be either (for budget purposes):-95 toyota 4runner-95 toyota mr2 turbo t-top-98 ford contour SVT-00 Focus ZX4-96 chevy impalla ss-01 mazda protege 5-04 scion xA-00 PT Crusier-01 s-10 Xtreme extened cabif money were no option:-70 pontiac GTO the judge with a 455 hemi -04 dodge SRT4-04 dodge stratus r/t-00 ford f150 super crew-00 ford f150 lighting SVT-04 f150 stx-98 bmw 870i-01 acura 3.2TL-Type S
My first choice would be a 2006 GMC Seirra 2500HD with the Duramax Diesel and the new Allison 6sp auto, crew cab, short bed, 4x4. For 13k less, I would choose a GMC Seirra 1500 crew cab, 5.3l, 2wd, with locking rear axle. (I would no longer have to haul the goats in the Vibe!) Although, I would probably get a HHR, as I like the 30+ mpg, and the ability to haul the goats, hay, straw, lumber, etc.
If not the Vibe then what? Well.....I have always said that I would like to get the Mazda3 sedan, love the look.If I were to stick to GM (my brother would kill me if I bought the competition lol) Cobalt SS What I would love to get as a project car? 1969 Pontiac GTO

When I'm done with the Vibe - (estimated time left: 4 years - gotta buy a minivan first)...then I'm going to go for a used Lexus (GS or LS - yes, I'm getting old). Right now, used 2002 LS's go for about $35,000 (about the same price as some of the other cars suggested here).Of course, if money were no object, then I'd love to get into a new Lexus!
When I done with Vibe, I will get 2004 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 with Z71 package that we do a lot of camping and need place put at least two deers during hunt season.
I'm thinking about replacing the Vibe with a Saab 9-2X Aero. Turbo AWD for under $20k is a great deal.If money were no object I would go for a Mercedes G500.

The new eclipse is nice but that car is not meant to be driven by someone tall, I'm 6'3 and my knee's were in the steering wheel when i got behind the wheel of my friends. Actually every eclipse i'v rode in has had nearly no leg room at all, thats something they should seriously improve.but to stay on topic if I can't have a vibe ever again I'd have to drive the new GTO, for it is one sick machine. I love my Supra and my SS Silverado but my Supra is no longer street legal and my dad turned our project truck into a sleeper and well that truck burns more gas in a week than my vibe did in a month.
