Many times people sign up to use certain features on the forum that you cannot do as a visitor. Off hand, many members just want to IM another member on the site rather than post, or use the thread notification features as well.I do also see from time to time members with 0 posts that are still active on the site, but yet do not post. Some high-traffic forums delete members after a period of inactivity, but since we're not high-traffic nor in the need of the server capacity, I don't see a need to cleanup this portion of the member list.Good observation though.Just for some stats, here is some info that I can pull on the forum as of 7/17/05:» User StatisticsTotal Users: 3259Users Who Have Never Posted: 842Average Posts Per User: 59.18Average Threads Per User: 4.78» User Age Distribution (that is if you don't lie) Average User Age: 34.22Oldest User: 105.54Youngest User: 0.33» Content StatisticsForums: 46Threads: 15573 (15088 recent, 0 archived)Posts: 192917 (186826 recent, 0 archived)Threads in Recycle Bin: 16Posts in Recycle Bin: 189Average Posts Per Thread: 12.39

I hate your sig Bill... It's 1:45am and it's telling me its 82F outside. Thinking it's just a glitch in WeatherUnderground's site - I go to take the dog outside and find out it's so very true. The dog and I are both panting... phew it's fuggin' hot out.

When a mod or admin deletes a thread or post, it is put in a recycle bin for 7 days. The admins can restore these items from the recycle bin in the event they were accidentally deleted.

This includes threads in the For Sale/Wanted forum that have been inactive for over 120 days as well as posts in the Political Asylum forum that have been inactive for over 30 days.
