2005 paint chip rusting problem.

I have a 05 vibe and it is only 3 months old, i have a pint chip above the windshield and it is starting to rust, i just noticed it yesterday. the problem is how do i stop that, this thing chips bad. alot worse than any of my other vehicles. I doubt pontiac will cover it but they should since i do all city driving at about 45 at the most and it is chipping the paint, that is terrible.

This is not a warranty issue, though Pontiac has admitted it is a problem across all model years. It seems to be isolated to NUMMI, as our G6 has had no paint chips, not even a scratch, in well over 6 months of service.Pontiac warrants the paint against rust-through, which is when the rust eats a physical hole in the sheet metal.Not much you can do about it except get the rust out of there, and get some touch up paint.
