I am a recent user of free on line photo albums. It is convenient and useful to be able to post pics on message boards using such a service. However it isnt practical to maintain in these free albums all the images one has links to around the www. But if one deletes an image in the album then the corresponding image which did appear....on Genvibe for example...is lost and just the token X appears in its place. How do you guys organize such things? Thanks for your experience.
I usually upload my imags to a genvibe post, that way they are part of the thread and are immune to whatever I might decide to do with a photo store on an independent server. There have been some very helpful members who have moved on to a different car, which is normal and to be expected, but some have used external image hosts, and when their Vibe fever goes away, they clean out thir server of vibe pics, a couple of times taking with them some very useful pictures. Using an external image host is convenient if you want to put a number of pics in a single thread, but it really sucks for the rest of us when someone goes to the trouble to come up with an excellent how-to, and then a year later the pics disappear.

Like if I were to move across the country My images would probably be lost links unless I am able to keep the same High Speed ISP..... Other wise I would have to go relink them all...
for example, this post by Frosty, a genvibe God MIA for two years now, posted pics of the installed block heater in http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...#7670 two questions: where are the pics, but more importantly, where is Frosty?
