Plastic Headlights

I've noticed that the headlight housings on both of my headlights are a bit discolored or else some of the UV coating is coming off. Has anyone else experienced this, and what have you done about it?

I thought about using that, but I was afraid that if there was some type of UV coating on the palstic, that I would be removing all of it, and doing more harm than good. Any thoughts?
