Vibe PC

Post by McVibe »

So anyway I like to build PCs and I had the crazy Idea to paint a PC case orange like my vibe and get a pontiac and a vibe logo. And plus I found a PC case that has taillights that look just like the vibes and its power button looks like the pontiac arrowhead...yea I think I have Irritable Vibe Syndrome.http://www.powmax.com/pics/gam...0.jpg

Awesome, you HAVE to post pics if/when you do it....then we will all have photographic proof of this dangerous, contagious, and possibly incurable affliction, Vibe Fever.Remember, the first step to the cure is aknowleding you have a problem

Generally people who put in CarPCs (like me) prefer to get the smaller cases that can be easily hidden.. Especially helpful when you can fit the whole PC under the passenger seat, or behind the dashboard. If you want to read into CarPCs, check out mp3car.com and look through the FAQs, it explains a lot about what you'd need.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he's going to make it a car PC, per se...he just found a case that reminds him of the Vibe so he plans to build a Vibe PC.

yea, Kari's right, I just wanted to have a vibe anywhere I go. Including indoors and on the internet. If I were going to make a carPC though, I would get a smaller flat case that could fit under the seat. Although I don't think that it would do the PC well to be left in a hot car all day. For those of us without garages that is.

For the exhaust fan(s) in the back have exhaust tips on them . and if you can for the side fan have a fan cover that looks like a pontiac rim. Get a pontiac logo vinyl for it. I think i remmeber someone taking a rpm gauge and having it be the fan speed or hdd led activity. for the cdrom bays, you could make it look like the dashboard of the vibe, have like knobs be fan speed, have a lcd for the temps. just some thoughts. I like modding pc cases and such its just the money issue, everything cool just can start costing so much . good luck on that and post pics when you get started

that would be pretty sweet with the exhaust tips in the back, I dunno how ppl rigged up gauges but I'll see what I can do. I've decided to go with definate orange exterior with blue lights on the inside and I'll probably change the LEDs in the front to either be blue, or to go with the taillight theme and orange and red. definately a pontiac logo and vibe and maybe a vvtl-i. I wanna try to get the logo to say Vibe PC. Nice ideas, keep em' comin!

Yea, I'll probably start on this project in like two weeks (hince payday) I just blew this paycheck on a new mobo for my PC (accidently erased BIOS on my old one). So yea, I'll keep you posted on activity.

You could buy one of those cheap polished aluminum C.A.I.'s off Ebay with the cone filter. Hack off a short piece of the C.A.I., epoxey it to the side of the case, and slip on the filter for a C.A.I. I think I have an unused Injen sticker laying out in my toolbox....

Wonder if even the CAI could be adapted to be used to funnel air from a fan to something inside the case, the processor, video card, whatever...that would look cool since it's got the clear panel on the side of the case.Man this could get good And expensive...heh

maybe you could find some chrome rims that you could put at the base of it so you could transport it anywhere or maybe even like a dress up wire kit oooohh better yet put some neons inside hooked up to a toggle switch that would be tight you may want to drive your pc instead of your vibe

I dunno about the CAI filter, I think it might overpower the case and dominate, but maybe a cone fuel filter would work...Also, I think the case sits a few inches off of the ground like the one I have now and I could try to put some cold catalodes under it to be like underbody lights...
