tailgating with the vibe

Post by huskie26 »

Went tailgating with my Vibe for the first time yesterday before the Sox game. I was worried about how much stuff i could put in it with four people. It ended up holding a large chest cooler four folding chairs and two backpacks. It would have held my little weber grill too if we hadn't decided just to pick up subs and throw them in the cooler. The car rode decently with all the stuff and for adults. We met some friends and the park and there were some pics taken -- if I get my hands on them I'll post them here.Overall my vibe past the tailgating test with an A+.
The question isn't 'What are we going to do?' The question is 'What aren't we going to do?'

I actually use the Vibe in kinda the same way, if we go fishing down by the river, I pull the Vibe in with the back facing the water and we can sit under the liftgate. Especially nice if it's raining.

This is true. I don't have a long trip but others might.

I was thinking the same thing, a few power outlets 12v and 110v would be nice too. Keep dreaming I guess.

The vibe works nice for tailgate parties. was at a car show in ontario, North Of the Border its called. Rained pretty hard and I did not bring the Vibe, wished I had cause I would have popped up the hatch and sat there high and dry.

yeah. the cool thing about the vibe is it has almost as much room as my old 92 rodeo did. i took my vibe for some winter camping and stuff in kettle morain and also on climbing trips out at devils lake, wi. i fit pretty much the same amount of gear in the vibe, and then some.but back to tailgating...i remember when the vibe was first being introduced, there was some cool concept stuff, like a swing out table for tailgating and an interior bike rack...anybody remember that? i wonder what happened to those accessories...anyways, sorry i've been away a while...couldn't find my password at work
