Fog light - Grid Protector

Post by mayoo »

Hi all...I found that interesting sharing it with all of you that are concerned about "broken fog light"...I broke one couple month ago... I changed it but decided to protect it.I used a small grid, cut it the exact shape but I left 5 "stripes" that are attched in the back.I painted it with rustproof paint and I put transparent spacers beetween len and grid.I used it by night and compared with "unprotected" fog and there is no significant difference on lighting... Compare to how much it can cost to replace that fog, beleive me, it worth the loss!Anyway... I find it look really good and hope it’s the last time I’m the fog.Maybe my english is not clear so I attached a pic...I`ll send night pictures tomorrowhave a good one!mayoo

I was thinking that if it is right against the fog, it would still break but you will just have all the pieces right there.

i might give this a try...i wonder what it would look like if the grid was painted black to match the 'mesh' grill on the stock vibe?
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
