Jensen VM9510 install

Post by tiger-bailey »

Well I installed my Jensen VM9510 today. It was easy to install and the whole thing cost me about $700. It is really nice and I would recommend this unit.I bought it here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...47&rd= 1&ssPageName=WDVWAnd I bought these at Circuit City:Wiring harness: Metra 80-2003 Antenna Adaptor: Metra 40-GM10Dash kit: Metra 99-8205I followed the info from this post about the antenna:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=5952And I followed the thread about the M&T amp where you connect the blue wire with the white stripe to the black wire at the B3 pin, but that didn't give me volume. But, when I connected the HU blue power antenna wire to the blue wire with the white stripe in the Metra connector it worked. As talked about here:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=2631I ran the tv tuner antenna up the a pillar on the passenger side and mounted one side across the top of the windshield and the other side down the a pillar. Thanks for the help and the recommendation from Jahntassa, the VM9510 has an awesome picture and the tv tuner works well.

MY FM reception went to absolute crap when i installed my new H.U. (VM9410), i was thinking my new antenna adapter was bad, but hopefully it's just that wire. Thanks for the info
