A/C re-wire

Post by ychartra »

Has anyone done this or does anyone know how to re-wire the air conditioner so the compressor is not engaged when the climate control system is set on defrost?

If I remember correctly - the ECU of the car will disable the A/C compressor when the outside temp is below a certain temp... I think it was in the lower 30's (f) but above freezing.I remember when my A/C stopped working - it took a lot longer in the fall/spring when it was very humid in the mornings and my windows were all fogged up.
