Hey Mike did you ever think about leasing the Solstice? You will pay more in the long run, but it will give you a lot more money flexability. And if for some strange reason the car just isn't working out you can always give it back.

I'm afraid to ask how much insurance is gonna be on that Solstice... The G6 sedan probably won't be bad at all, not sure about the coupe.

Insurance company couldn't give me a quote on the Solstice, they still have no info on it. I realized after I hung up I should have asked for the rates on a miata. Should be comparable. Solstice might be slightly lower given it's domestic status. As for leasing, it is being considered, but because they haven't decided on leasing terms yet, it's hard to seriously contemplate it...

If you care, I had the chance to drive a Solstice the day of the GVC Super Meet, and I wrote a little review w/ pictorial about it; you can find it on the front page at http://www.solsticeforums.com . . . If you can get ahold of one, do it, it was a fantastic experience and I only drove it for 45 minutes.

Congrats Mike. I hope everything goes well for you. Hopefully for the next Michigan meet we get to see you drilling holes and standing on the roof of whichever car you get again. I hope you continue to stick around after the transfer of vehicles has been made.

So, Mike - when does the G6 coupe come in? This sucks, waaah, waaah, waaah, everyone gets a new car but meeeee! *throwing a fit like some kid* hehSeriously though, congrats on whatever the hell it is you just bought... May you enjoy it tremendously. I hope to be joining the ranks of GVC ship jumpers in the very near future. 'course I'll be staying around, I love the people here... But despise the car.

No, no Colonel, you have it all wrong! You can't jump the GVC ship. What's that saying now?"You can give your heart to Hyundai but GVC owns your a**".Jump the Vibe ship if you want, but you better stay around here. That goes for you too Ragingfish!

Looking back at that post, I realize that I really don't understand what the heck I said. Sometimes, maybe most of the time, I don't make a lot of sense. I'm dumping the Vibe, maybe doing it soon... But I meant to say I'm jumping ship as in from the Vibe/Pontiac/GM, but certainly not from GVC... This site is far too important to me to do otherwise. The people are what has kept me here for so long, and I couldn't ask for a better place to hang out. The cars that are on my shopping list right now don't have anywhere near the community we have right here.

I knew what you meant, that little post of mine just came to me and struck me as too clever to pass up. Genvibe is a great group. I mean, look at me. I'm going on a year without my Vibe and I'm still around. At any rate, not to let this get too far off Raging's topic. Any progress on the loan approval Ragingfish? I think we're all dying to know what it is that pulled you away from the Vibe!

That's what I'm thinking too. See, I believe since the thread started with the Solstice, that can't be it or he would just say so. Of course I've no doubt he's loving reading our speculation because only he knows the truth.

It won't be the G6, that's what his parent have. I really like the Vibe, but if my parents owned one, I 'd get something different. Besides, he already has a perfectly good car, he must be trading in for something really sporty, not some buicky sedan

Actually the G6 Coupe is very sporty and looks very different from the G6 Sedan, which is what his parents have. It's in the new issue of Pontiac Performance...and man is it a hot car. Not Buicky at all, IMHO.

Mike sure does enjoy seeing us in pain... I'm still thinking G6 coupe seeing that he's already doing loan stuff. Don't think he would be interested in taking out a loan for a car that's not going to be here until who knows when!C'mon man, tell us what the heck you're trying to get already! Or are you ashamed of that orange 5-door Aveo with body kit and the bling bling chrome wheels that you just ordered? hahaha!

I have decided to slowly, one by one, announce the elimination cars from the pool of contenders. My signature will be updated as announcements are made to show the remaining possibilities. Today, I announce the first car that has been officially eliminated.2005 Pontiac GTO (yes, despite the ji-normous pricetag, this car was a serious consideration).
