Installed a more "Manly" horn

Post by Pick »

It took me all of 5 minutes of owning the car to decide the beep beep horn had to go. I went to a U-pull it and got a dual horn assembly from a Lincoln Continental ($10) (Most of the large Ford's have dual horns and are easy to remove), removed my stock horn, cut the wire and spliced it into my new dual horn assembly. It sounds GREAT and fit just fine into the stock location :D

Nice. I upgraded to dual FIAMM freeway blasters a day after buying my car. I still didn't think those were loud enough so I bought (2) 139db dual-tone air horns! My headlights dim whenever I use them!

I bought a PIAA dual sports horn. Both horns mount on the stock horn mounting bolt. I made a connector to plug into the stock horn connector.

You'd think the one (cheap) thing Pontiac/GM could have changed on our Poyotas... was the damn horn.Bleep Bleeep.... Puhhhleeez - its about as aggressive as a Civic. "We build excitement... just don't honk our horns"
