His name's Kevin (Freestyle) The wing is a custom fitted Chevy Cobalt SS spoiler. He is a master with bodywork so he molded it and bolted it to the car himself, the scoop is a REAL WRX sti scoop fully functional, and the dual exhaust is 100% custom. He also made the gauge pod himself from a mustang pod I believe. I have an air/fuel gauge so far for my gauge pod so once I get the other two he's going to help me make my own pod for them.I'm sure he would like to show off his own car BUT I'm not sure if he posts a whole lot on here so I'll do it for him I met him around my houes a year or so ago before he had his coilovers, scoop, spoiler, and dual exhaust. Back when all I had was a neon underbody kit lol. I remember he pulled next to me in a lot and asked what else I had done to the car and all I could reply with was "just the neons" (removed)! I felt like such a ricer. Now we roll togather to all the shows all over teh Metro area

It's look fast instead of go fast. This sounds much harsher than I intend it to as it doesn't look bad. I just wanted to expess an attitude about non functional cosmetic adds and what they look like to some of us. Same goes for dropping it so much it becomes difficult to drive on streets. If you pretend it goes faster because of the add-ons then you're a poser if not it's just a matter of taste.

Let's just say that's overly done. The STI hood scoop is fully functional. It cools down the engine bay. The spoiler, don't know why he would do that to that car. But the dual exhaust is there for better top end. Yes, I know, the Vibe has no torque and is slow from a start, but up top is where it breathes. And this guy is pretty cool as well. So, if there anything else to be said here, it is the fact that it is his car and whatever he thinks looks good, will look good because that's the way he wants his car to look. And the drop isn't really a big deal. It's about as low if not higher than the Tein S-tech drop. Just speakin the truth.Inder

The dual exhaust isn't doing anything a single can't and the scoop isn't increasing HP or longevity but it is increasind drag. The motor gets hottest when sitting still, not when the scoop does anything. If it's a carbon fiber hood, it may at least weigh less. In an STI the scoop is framing a top mounted intercooler so as not to detract from radiator area in the grill. It's all good if you like it but it's effectively non-functional.

Say that to anyone with no top end power. That's main thing in bigger motor vehicles. They have enough torque to get off the line, but they need something in top end so they prevail.Inder

You're talking about functional scoops (cold air intake, there's no pressure increase at the intake at full throttle) and dual exhaust on a V8 with 2 banks (dual) of cylinders and usually 3 times the cubic inches. How does that remotely resemble what we're talking about. That dual system in that Vibe is probably split after the muffler and the scoop's not part of the intake. Don't let the facts get in the way. I personally make no judgements on the guy that owns it and most seem to like the way it looks. You can be cool and just do this stuff to have fun. Just not my cup o tea. Eye of the beholder.

Kevin is a really nice guy, It was my pleasure to meet him at the MSM. We talked quiet a while and hes a pure Vibe enthusiast. He even showed me one of his little mods that is for function. Thanks Kevin, I'll be looking for that filter. I think he did an excellent job to his Vibe. All custom fitted wing, scoop and the box in back is pure crazy! I was envious of that one. I'm not posting to take a side with anyone, but the guy gets out there and makes his own mods. That's more that I can say for those that sit and wait for someone to design and produce a product that bolts on like myself! I wish I had the knowledge and the time to do some wild stuff to mine. Maybe one of these days I will. My thoughts about the scoop is this, anytime that you can drop outside air into a hot azz engine compartment, thats a good thing.

Yeah I guess its all in what you like, I could never drive a car with a big (removed) wing on the top of it, but I think its great that other people do, cause it gives me something to laugh at while I am driving.

Ok to clear up a few things, the spoiler and hood scoop he told me on the phone a few days before the meet that he was just gonna slap a couple coats of spray paint on them just for the Michigan rally and he is going to completely strip them down and re-paint them the real color once the meets over because of lack of time.Secondly, Goodvibe I respect your opinions 100% beleive me, however just because there is a spoiler and hood scoop doesn't mean it wants to be a race car or a plane. If you were friends with Kevin personally like me, Inder and a few others on here you would realize how wrong you are about ricer and wanting to be fast when he's not. He does this for show. I don't think he has EVER raced anyone before except maybe Doug once on the high way just for fun. He's not like the idiot kids in their Del Sols revving their engines at every light. Alot of cars come with factory spoilers! Do you consider the Cobalt SS to be a ricer because of it's spoiler? After all it is 100% non-function and that's what kind of spoiler is on Kevin's Vibe, also non-functional and he knows that!!!!By the way, my uncle knows Tai Kwon Do and he can beat you up any day!

I've never said anything against the guy and believe everthing you say. I actually think it's kinda cool if it's just for fun and haven't said otherwise except that it's not for me. I didn't attack but his freinds defended him with nonsense that I responded to. Read the posts. I even said my original comment sounded harsher than intended to explain another posters position and qualified comments like poser to someone unlike Kevin that knows the difference. Good luck to Kevin at his next show. I always appreciate good work even if it's not to my taste. I do find the Cobalt wing ricey. Who's this Tai Kwon Do guy?
