If you have the optional factory 17" wheels/tires on your Vibe/Matrix, tell us how they are in DRY but cold conditions. Not snow or ice because we already know they are not good snow tires. Just clear, dry roads in cold temps.
Having been unable to replace my tires before winter, I have had to drive with the 17's through all kinds of conditions. I think they've done very well so far in all temperature ranges. I've had very little trouble.
I don't know what tires you folks received, but my Vibe GT came with Dunlop SP 9000's and they are horrible around freezing on dry pavement. I had some snow tires from my previous car so I just had to buy some steel 16'' rims for them(Michelin Arctic Alpine)Jason
I have the SP 9000's. I suppose one other thing to consider is just how cold it is when you drive. So far I haven't been out in anything under 25 degrees. I'll certainly say they're not the best I've ever driven in the cold, but if I drive with the limitations in mind, I don't have much trouble getting around.
I never actualy checked the pressure, I had some snow tires from 2 cars ago that were the same size as the stock 16's, so I just bought some steel wheel's and bolted them up. The day I got my Vibe it was about 15 out....I posted a picture of the poor thing yesterdayhttp://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=2437&postid=21564#21564Jason
