It was Good, we got to see many Members and there Rides.Gm's turn out was very weak, Only one person came.I guess there saving money!Gm did send out a red Vibe GT-R (ram air) 190HP very awesome.I don't think it was one of the cars from last year.I forgot my wallet at home, So we didn't have any cards or cash.My Daughter was getting hungry so we left early.

Awesome meet! And my first Michigan meet!I didn't get to walk around, check things out, and meet people, because I lost the ENTIRE day to my GPS antenna project. BUT, it came out great. I now have it permanantly mounted on the roof, going underneath the the roof and through the roof. Thanks so much to scherry2 AGAIN this year for his help through the tough problems I faced reinstalling the antenna base! Before reassembling everything, we had a ceremonial "signing of the headliner." A bunch of members signed the roof panel (on the back side, of course!), creating a virtual time capsule!Pics from me soon!

The signing of the headliner was cool... Kind of like a yearbook in a way. I just wish it hadn't been so hot...that would have made the whole day much much better, but it was still a good time and nice to meet a bunch of people that I didn't get to meet at Ohio last year. If we could have the meet in like March or April next year, that would rock...LOL

Yes.. is was a great (and HOT!) meet... always great to meet everyone, new and old. The GT-R was sweet.. but as always just teasing us with products GM will never release to us peons.. I took about 100 pics which I will post in the GVC Gallery tomorrow (link will be posted).

The meets keep getting better and better! Although the turnout wasn't what we expected, we had representation from more states than ever! The Vibe GT-R was awesome in person. It was a lot of fun giving a ride in my GT to a Base owner as well. It was great to meet everyone and hang out with members after the rally. Next year, the dealership is going to provide food at lunch time. Hopefully, it will not be as HOT!!!

FYI: Fusion Orange (Sunburst II??) was NOT represented at all this year, Mav!We saw Kari & Colonel Panic in the mirror at the soft-cloth carwash, (before she changed her mind and went to the touchless one behind Kmart):Mike (Ragingfish) entertained the crowd with his impressions of Norm Abrams and 'New Jersey Workshop' how-to's:AND Mike also did a 'Sub install' sort of:It was 98 degrees on my Vibe-mometer in the parking lot:Nick (Nsimkins) signs in on Ragingfishes headliner:Several of us are now going to investigate a central Indiana meet for 2006!

Man, everybody hit the road early this morning...only three Vibes left in the parking lot. (Well, four, but one of them isn't a member unless she pays attention to the two cards Mike left on her car...LOL)The mini-meet-after-meet in the parking lot/hotel room was really cool though! Looking forward to Ohio now... Man that pic from the car wash is awful...LOL. What happened was we got in line then realized it was one of those "wash by hand" things (I thought it might be like the automatic soft cloth one we have at home that's pretty cool) and I saw them washing a truck's bumper with what looked like a broom, I changed my mind.

Just got back. Long (removed) drive, I tell you what. It was a good meet again this year as usual. I think I came down with a modding bug while I was there though. Thanks to Colonel, Kari, Ragingfish, Nick, Rasermon, Toasted7, and Satur9 for giving me something to do on Friday and Saturday night. Hope to be back next year as well.

Hi everyone! We just got back home. We enjoyed our first meet and everyone was so nice! It was good to put a face with a name after so long. Every ones Vibe and Trix's looked so great together! All the cars were detailed and clean! I was surprised to see how many different mods everyone did to there cars! The mods were in high gear with 3 or 4 mods going at one time. I had no idea what Mike was doing but his whole interior was dismantled! I think it was a antenna install for some kind of electronic thingamajig. When he took out the hammer and started to smack the top of his car, I wished I'd had my camera! lol. D3troit did a CF hood install and had some difficulty getting the latch aligned. It all came out good with alot of work. BTW D3troit it looks good and I have those pics you wanted. we'll get those to you in email. Someone else did a Injen CAI install but I can't remember his name. I know he really loved the sound and performance he received, he was all over that Vibe! I seen someone else had the inside door panels off, not sure what was going on there, I think chrome handle install. It was blistering hot Saturday at the meet and I have the burnt legs and head to prove it. Shade was my best friend this day! lol. 99 F. After the meet Mike led us in a little cruise, that was pretty cool! We ended up at Joe and Lou's? I forget the name of the place, but the food and conversation was great. Later that evening it cooled off really nicely! We met up in the parking lot and ended up getting some yummy shakes from McD's! Dayum those things were thick! We didn't get to say goodbye to everyone but we enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone! We'll post some pictures on photo bucket for everyone to view as soon as we get them re-sized.Colonial, I think you got a new friend, Cody really enjoyed your company. He's still talking, talking, talking!..haha.Jack, thank you for entertaining Cody with your Playstation. He raves about me doing this to ours now! Hope he didn't run down your battery!. loledit Thanks to all those that made the meet a success! I'm sure a lot of hard work went on behind the scenes that we don't know about. So thank you from the Ponyota family!

That's a great pic Rich! Everything has pretty much been said about the meet... not much left to say. It was a lot of fun (as usual) and very hot! Installs all turned out OK... as far as I know. The Penalty Box after the meet was very tasty!Looking forward to the Ohio Meet in August and I hope I am not the ONLY '05 Vibe there (might have a few mods done by then too... since my Injen CAI woulnd't fit!)It was great to meet everyone (some again)!

Hi everyone! This is Lisa (Mrs. Ponyota) It was really great meeting all of you that went to the meet. It was alot of fun and I am looking forward to going to the Ohio meet. I see Nick already beat me to posting pics. I probably took to many and it took me awhile to downsize all of them. I had taken a total of 90 pictures. I decided to seperated them into different albums for all of you and all of them are a good size for opening for those of you on dial up.Not bad for my first post ever...eh? lol Here is the link for the photo albums. Awesome pictures Nick and Lisa!!!I had great time to see other Vibes and Matrix with cool modifications. Even my daughter had great time well and she trying get in single Vibe to test drive , LOL... She loves get in Vibe drive steering wheel, push some buttons, look out window, wave with her big smile on her face and say "Buh bye!". That was pretty funny and got me laugh good. My wife told me that she did have nice time to see cool Vibes (specially Triton's Vibe because she loves blue paint job and it's her favorite color). Boy, it's was pretty darn hot out and I sweaty like rainfall. I wish could stay longer and go to sport bar well but I have to leave early to take my wife work and my little getting hot. On way home, we got stuck orange barrels zone about ten miles long on US-23 go north to I-69 west and on I-69 straight to Lansing was pretty smooth that have no barrels. We got home pretty good and all one piece. Definity come next super meet.

Poopy why don't you treat the members that will be attending the meet to an "ALl expenses paid" trip to Rome for the wedding and we can bring the meet to you! Doesn't that sound appealing? Then we can also show the Italians how we do it Vibe style...

Well folks, I finally made it home. Actually got home around 1ish, but didn't get home-home until just about an hour ago. I already had to go into work my first night back. Total trip miles: 1494.2.That's right. 1500 miles round trip. Needless to say, I'm absolutely obliterated. That drive took craploads outta me.The meet WAS awesome, but frankly, if I can't get a co-pilot next year, I don't think I'll be able to do the drive again. Thanks one last time to scherry2 for his most generous help with the GPS antenna dilemma. Always thinking on your feet my friend! champcaracing: don't even worry about it. The tip you gave me about using felt on the retainer clips sounds brilliant. I'm gonna give that a shot, if that fixes my squeaks, I'll be eternally indepted to you! Though I wish I'd picked your brain about my stripped seat bolt...Anyway, I got pics of the new antenna install, but won't have them up until tomorrow. 'Tis all for now. Toodles!PS -- Thanks to rasermon for the pic that inspired my latest signit...
