Matchbox Vibe

Post by Chris_W »

Here's a photo of the 1:64 scale Pontiac Vibe from Matchbox that will be showing up in toy stores later this year. This was shown at a preview and Mattel has been known to make changes to color, wheels, and other specifications before toys are mass produced.Should make owners of Satellite Vibes happy.

Thanks for the info Chris_W! I don't know how much you are into Matchbox vehicles, but if you are let us know if you find any new information.I have a friend (Matchbox enthusiast) that has a collection of thousands of Matchbox cars so I will have him check into this for us as well.

I'll take one too. Maybe a company will make a 1:18 scale build-it-yourself model of the Vibe? I'd really like one of those, or a 1:18/1:24 scale Ertel type metal one.

Thanks for your posting! I have been keen to get a Vibe model since I acquired my life-size Shadow Vibe. Would still love to learn of any others as well. The plastic or ERTL model idea sounds inviting.

Remember http://www.yatming.com will be coming out with the Vibe and Matrix. Check the link on th emain page for "Find Your Car". The Vibe looks to be 1/24th scale in white or blue and the Matix is 1/18th in red (maybe a second color-I can't remember). I know there was talk before about this site being hard to access or needing a software download but try it out.

The Vibe GT looks great that Yatming is producing. I wonder why they decided to make a 1:24th in the Vibe and a 1:18th in the Matrix? There is no release date as to when they will be putting it out either. It seems there estore is not working at the time I posted. I will keep checking back.By the way, here is a pic from the website for those having trouble viewing it (Notice how they misspelled Pontiac! LOL): Something about this Vibe looks very familiar to me!

I have an update on the 1:24th Diecast Vibe GT from Yatming.com. I emailed them to find out when it will be available. They responded to me today and told me that it should be available in April. I will keep checking on it and update everyone as I get more information about it.

Oh, so sweet. I have to get one, especially if they offer it in blue. Someone said they have photos of them with a Sea-Doo on a trailer behind it? That would be awesome. I bought a 2002 Sea-Doo GTX-RFI near the end of the season last year. It is a very similar blue to my Neptune Vibe. A good replica of the combo would be too cool. I have heard that Yat Ming has a pretty good reputation for producing good quality models. Unfortunately they also tend to be pricey.

When I had my sunfire, I combed the world looking for a model of it...matchbox, larger die-cast...nothing existed. Same thing with the vibe -- in my efforts to find one, the only thing I came across was a matchox version of the pontiac piranha concept -- and it looks crappy... i'm am PSYCHED that there is gonna be a vibe out there finally! YEAH BABY!!!!!as for yat ming, we need to talk them into adding satellite to the option line! after all, from my understanding, it's the largest selling color in the vibe line...

My other vehicle in a 2001 Nissan Xterra. I have about 15 -20 Matchbox mini-replicas of my Xterra and I even have a Tyco RC version (which I painted to match) This is cool, now I can increase my matchbox collection and have it match what is parked in my driveway.

The diecast Vibe GT from Yatming is available! It is 1:24th scale and it comes in either blue or white. Here is a link to a website to purchase it from: Blue: http://www.bnhtoys.com/bnhtoys/cart/y24vibeb.html White: http://www.bnhtoys.com/bnhtoys/cart/y24vibew.html I ordered mine today and I will let everyone know how long it takes to get it and post some pics of it. That same site also has the Vibe GTR that will soon be released. Here is a thread that someone else started about this car: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=2923

That looks great! I will have to get like three of them. One for my desk at work (which already has the 1/24th from Yatming), one for my 2 y/o (he loves Daddy's car) and one to keep in the package. A great addition to my collection.
