Got my vibe!

Post by crazyeaglefan »

2005 Base. Auto, power package, monocolor (or whatever that is called). 19500 sticker. 15700 after GM plan and 2 1,000 rebates. Got rid of my jucked Focus. Already bought a set of factory alloys from someone off here...waiting to get them. Putting in a sun roof. Also going to buy the rear spoiler set. Buying the cargo nets soon. Back mat. Car is salsa in color. CD deck was defective (broke 2nd day) (funny, that is one of the few GM parts in the car...LOL). I have always owned Toyota, but I liked the styling of the Vibe, not to mention the incentives right now to buy. I had a 96 Celica (Cherry Red, loaded...5sp, power everything, spoiler, loaded loaded loaded) but I had to get something with more room. For some unknown reason I got an 00 Focus. Hated it with a passion. Cheap construction. Recalls every other month. Broke down on vacation. Hated it. I put about 75 miles a day on my vehicle, so feul mileagle was important. I clocked in at 36.7 mpg on my first fill-up. Does that improve or stay about the same? I am thrilled with the mpg though. Gruff engine is my only complaint. But smooth at cruising speeds, so I don't really care what it sounds like during acceleration.Look forward to the discussions!

Congrats! Hope you enjoy it - love mine!PS- mileage: Mine improved by only about a mile per gallon as the car broke in, but an auto 05 owner I know has seen more like 2mpg increase. Took a few months.
