ATR Motorsports Turbo Kit needs donor car!

Post by BlueCrush »

"Here comes the, BOOM!!!! Here comes the, BOOM!!!! Ready or Not!!!!!" They are looking for a Vibe Base or Matrix XR with a 1ZZ engine with DBC or DBW for a donor car so they can built a custom turbo for our cars. They are located in South Carolina and will need to keep the car for 1-2 weeks. The owner of the donor car will receive a significant discount on the turbo kit for their car. All your questions can be answered in the vast amount of information on the MO thread. The kit will cost around $2500 complete. Much cheaper than other kits that are available. All company contact info is on MO also. Someone please step up and let them use your car. They already have a Matrix XRS donor car for a 2ZZ turbo and will be built within the next few weeks. Here is the information on MO.com: http://www.matrixowners.com/fo...art=0

I'm watching this one very closely! The price isn't bad and the extra power they are talking about will be 10 hp per 1# of boost, Very exciting! I can't wait to see the dyno's on the 2zz!

The white balance on his camera was off...which is why the sun highlights are purple. Too bad they're not looking for a GT, and I wasn't broke..

So some people think that its not possible to turbo a stock 2zz engine with 11.5 to 1 compression well guess what..... It's done and Safely! But wait check this out 0-60 in 4.4 sec., 1/4 mile time is 12 sec. at 114 mph., 242 hp with 169 ft. lbs. 0f torque at only 7 psi boost from 2600 rpm all the way to 8400 redline and boost tapers off to 6psi., meaning full boost is available for an astounding 5800 rpms. all on stock internals, and yes this sh-- is for real! http://riotrix.onlinestoragesolution.com/Be sure you click on all 5 pages.this is a post by reo trix on MO.

Evenstill, it is great to see the 2zz boosted!! ...Someone get their GT boosted!!!

Cutting torch....and demolition ball!! AT SF I got to ride in a Vibe GT they they turboed for someone going to SEMA last year. It was only set around 5psi, but wow! it was still a rocket!..There is a guy here in town who turboed his celica GT-S (2zz). He also posts at Newcelica.org under the user name Smaay. He had a power FC for engine management, and he tuned his car up to 11 psi on stock internals .I dont know anyone who has gone beyond 11psi because of the high compression. Right now he has a new motor that has new internals with the compression ratio lowered and a 1zz crank to make the stroke longer. He has a huge turbo and is running up to 21 psi!!!!!!!!!...He hopes to make it to the 11's in the quarter mile. I hope I get to see him run sometime.

LOLThis is why you usally just want to keep things at low boost in this motor 4-8 psi. Water/ alcy injection up to 11psi...something like that. The good news is that because the CR is so high, the HP gains per psi are really really good, and so you can make good power at those levels!

They already have a donor car for the 2zz engine. It wouldn't have been free for you anyway. But youwould have gotten a nice discount.
