What about the Vibe do you like the most?

Post by joatmon »

I've had mine for about two and a half years so far, and some things I take for granted. When I'm in a different car, I miss the outside temperature display in the dash. I like all the storage compartments. I get pretty good gas mileage, so I like that too. It is comfortable, easy to park, cool looking, etc.I think the thing I like the most about it is that even after 80K miles so far, it is still fun to drive.

I have to say the one thing I like the most is that even though it's just a car, it's brought me that special someone and a whole lot of happiness because of it. As far as the physical properties of the car...I think it looks really cool and it's very fun to drive. The killer gas mileage is pretty awesome too.

I actually never really use the dash temp gauge anymore since i installed the mirror that had one...but i do like the versatility of it...and the front end look (03 only, sorry 05 owners)...and i love how easy it is to disassemble...seriously.

IMHO, it doesn't have to rev to 8,000 RPMs to be fun to drive. Mine is a base as well and I still enjoy driving it.

i've got a gt that's a blast to drive even when it's not in lift. not that it's not fun to dip into the gas and hit the entrance ramp on the freeway...what i like most about my vibe is the balance of performance and practicality. the car is a blast to drive, but it's also got enough passenger and cargo space to meet my needs.

One of the best things I like about my 2003 Vibe is that 2.5 years (30 months) after I bought it I could probably sell it for only $3,000 less than I paid for it.

Oh, I think it goes without saying what the one thing I like most about the Vibe is. Never in my life did I imagine a stinkin' car could bring me all that it has. It's been a great ride! This site and the great bunch of folks we have here ranks way up there too!I know I'm grumpy these days, being so frustrated with this Vibe - but honestly I'm glad I bought it. I owe Sir Knocksalot a thing or two for all he's done for me - I have no regrets. I don't know what brought me here - I certainly didn't consider another GM car when I bought the Vibe. But sure enough, some weird twist of fate had me sign the dotted line and enter the world of Vibedom. The car itself was ok in its time... I really enjoyed the first 30,000 miles. It's sad to say that the car isn't what it once was for me, but I guess it's true. However, looking beyond that Neptune thing out in the parking lot and seeing how much of an impact it has had on my life, I couldn't have asked for a better car. So it goes without saying that whatever I end up replacing the Vibe with sometime in the near future just won't be able to come close to bringing me what the Vibe has...

The amount of storage space from such a small car is amazing. The 27 MPG I get around town is really nice. It's comfortable to drive even on long trips.Oh, who am I kidding? Hitting lift, pegging the rev limiter, grabbing second and hearing the tires bark is what I LIVE FOR!!!!!

On top of this, I enjoy the ample head and leg room. Just test driving the 9-2x the other day made me realize how much room my Vibe has!The Vibe is a jack of all trades

The fact I get to drive it. We had a Grand Am GT before the Vibe GT and I never got to drive it, my wife drove it all the time.Besides that, plenty of room to put the dog in the back. Plus it's fun to drive. I don't think I'll ever go back to an automatic transmission. When we go through the mountains in CO the manual is much more fun and easier on the brakes.

I've had my `03 for a little over two weeks now and I have to say I like the fuel mileage the best. After driving Jeeps, and a full size truck for the past few years at 9-11MPG, the Vibe is a welcome change. The look of this thing is finally growing on me, and after seeing an Aztek in the service bay this evening, I won't bad-mouth the way my Vibe looks anymore

- Easy to take apart. I swear i'll have the entire innards removed at some point...- Versatile. There is NOTHING like besting some over-done Honda with four people in the Vibe- Space. Though I really need a custom box, the cabin space is great. All the little hideaways are amazingly useful. - Looks. I'm sorry, but it's still kinda mean looking. And it's not 'cookiecutter'. - Mileage. I get ~22MPG city driving on my GT. An improvement from ~17MPG on my Probe (though I still miss her. ;.- Comfort. Take it from someone who's driven from Jersey to GA about 12 times, it's easy to do looooong driving days in this car.

The Vibe is extremely easy to take long road trips in, I've noticed. Even just a 2-hour ride in my Sonoma would make my legs and (removed) hurt, but I can go for 7 hours with only one short fuel stop in the Vibe, and not be the least bit sore when I get to my destination. The seats have to be the most comfortable seats I've ever experienced in a car, definitely.

I my comfy seats Yet another reason why I DIDN'T like the 9-2x..not so comfy (and cheap leather )

Theree are alot of things about the vibe that make it fun to drive, even without lift. Plenty of base vs GT threads, so won't hijack it that way, but even without lift it's still a peppy engine, it handles turns great even with stock suspension, tiny turning radius, easy to park, steering feels just right, comfortable seats, controls feel like they are just where they ought to be, etc.I have a long commute, and probably would have either moved or gotten another job by now, but then I got the Vibe and the long commute is no longer a big deal. It's hard to pick one specific thing that makes the car fun to drive, it just is.

It lets you sit up higher than most cars, and has comfortable seats, and cruises down the road great, and gets good gas mileage, and hauls alot of stuff, and looks fusion cool, and sounds great with moons and tunes, and (for us) has plenty of power, and we love the sunroof, and we get lots of great comments on it, and it handles the road great, and it saved our son's life once! and I could go on and on...
