Great initiative, Zuben. However - mayhaps we need to look at another location, before worrying about the dates?Of the people responding: me(GMJAP), Zuben, damronjr, MoonDogg, Bud_one, and NascarXprtone is from LA, 2 from North Dallas, 2 from Houston area, and 1 from San Antone.Sounds like a Dallas area meet might the most centrally located place that might allow everyone to come. Would be the least total driving, I think, especially for MoonDogg coming from LA.Thoughts?

Yep...San Antone it is. Home of the Alamo, the Spurs, Spanish Missions, the best TexMex food, HEB, the Riverwalk, SeaWorld, and Fiesta Texas.Just an excuse for a bump!
Voting/nominations for dates are closed. I was certainly hoping for more response than shown. I am of the conviction that there just isn't enough interest to hold a meet in Texas. You folks are going to have to convince me otherwise...
Well guys don't plan around me... Yall pick a date (as long as on the weekend and not next weekend) I am good to go... Still gotta discuss with wife though.. its a 7hr. drive if no traffic.. and it will cost almost $50 in gas one way!! so.... It's still a toss up for me... but I don't plan that far ahead so any date's are pretty good for me..
Zuben i am still trying to get ahold of GUNN and if not lets try and have it in an empty parking lot with a lot of people traffic. like movie theaters BLANCO CAFE etc....
gmjap is right, just schedule a meet and see if people will come. if anything, just have a local meet where there are the most people to get things going.

If we nail this date and get a meet location, I'll post a notice at matrixowners.com....Hey! I just noticed that kountry is the Texas moderator over @ matrixowners.com. He should do the dirty work!
haha nice try, but i haven't had much success with planning meets either.i have a question, matrix:vibe as corolla:___? they use the have the geo/chevy prisms, but they don't make them anymore right? i'm just brainstorming for ideas to make it a bigger meet.

The Matrix/Vibe line is the only joint-venture between Toyota and GM (I think).I've got the weekend on my calendar and might even drive up Friday afternoon. I'll try to contact GUNN as well via e-mail and see if they're up to sponsor some parking space.Which "Blanco Cafe" are you all talking about? There's a million of 'em in San Antonio...
I just sent Gunn Pontiac an e-mail request to sponsor our rally on October 1. (You got a mention in the e-mail as well, Cole). I'll call them in a few days if I don't hear back.BTW, here's an aerial shot of the dealership...looks huge:
oh yea sorry i forgot bout that but there is one on Blanco road heres a shot of it. and if no dealer ship is found we can meet here at the Forum Shoping Center and have Pizza fromCi Ci's Pizza.
