Chrome, Silver, or HyperBlack?

Post by BigWill »

I am getting my rims soon, and I wanted to know which do you think I should get? 17" Chrome $999 or 17" Silver $699? Or 17" Hyper Black $699? By the way, my cars color is Slate (Shadow).

In my opinion-- Chrome!! Black would look too drab and your tire is already black so it would look like a big blob. If you go silver--then just keep what you already have. But as always --It is your car so think it out carefully then go where your heart is. I hope this helps --James

I have the same color Vibe as you Big Will. I want to get black rims with a machined lip so you can see the break between tire and rim. Also Some Black graphic overlays from graphics werks would compliment the black rims. If you don't weant black I suggest brushed alimunim rims they will mathc the color metal on the roof rack. Good luck bro!! let me know what you decide

Those are 18" MKW MK16's. Don't even ask about the weight cause I have no idea. They didn't feel that much heavier than the stock 16's! I was going to go with the hyperblack Katana Destiny's but wasn't sure about the hyper black look, that and the wife didn't care for the dark color. I think the silver color wouldn't look right with the shadow paint, JMO

Just called over to victoria tire...

Post by BigWill »

when I called over to Victoria tire, he was sooooooooo rude. It was funny. I asked him about a wheel, and he was like what sir? I asked again, and he was like yeah uh huh. I was like man, do you want a sale or what? Stop being a big dummy. I guess he thought I was not going to buy, but I didn't even get into it with that guy. I just hung up the phone and called over to Wheel Max, now he was cool. And hooked up with some good prices.

i like it with those rims, if look at a 99 civic hatchback and compare it to your photo, they look the same except the vibe is taller. if you go with the crome, watch it with the rim cleaner, i have a lot of friends who have taken the plateting right off

For some reason when I scanned (yes, I scanned the picture) it the dimentions went a little screwy. I used some never dull on em this weekend and now there are tiny heirline scratches in placves, PISSED. Looks like a nasty is going out to them as well as finding a new cleaner!!
