Step by Step FM Modulator install (for ipod)

Post by benwellington »

I followed this pictured HOWTO at matrixowners.com for my IPOD.http://matrixowners.com/forums/index.ph ... =25001Used this FM Modulator:http://www.crutchfield.com/S-0...lator The only hard part was figuring out which was ground and which was +12 on the cig lighter because the labels on the unit are wrong.Total Cost for me: $35 shipped for the modulator and two adaptors from crutchfield. (they gave me both adaptors free and it comes with an RCA to headphones wire)I had zipties around and I just stuck the fm mod in the back under the dash, above and behind the radio. This is OK, right? (I'm new to this)I ran the head phone wire and switch into the lower compartment by the shifter. Sound is very good. Somewhere between radio and CD.
