My temperature dial for the HVAC system does not turn completely to the far right or hot. When I hit the limit on the hot side, it seems to want to go further but is obstructed by something. It seems to stop about 15% before the end. Is this the same for everyone else?
My Dial will travel freely all the way to the hot limit, and all the way to the cold limit. Your's might have been put on wrong. Go to your dealer and complain. It should be fixed under warranty.KSNeptune

Well I took it back for the second time. I was driving home and noticed the car was gettting very toasty. I kept turning down the temperature until it was all the way to cold. For some reason the temperature setting is stuck on hot. I'm going back in for the third time now. They claim to have tested the car before releasing it, but I think they didn't do a thing. I took it for a 10 minute drive home and I duplicated the problem right away. This is really making me sick of American car companies and the lack of customer service. I really want to vent my frustration on someone, but I know that will only work against me. Is there anyone at Pontiac that will do anything to prevent others from going through the run around? I will talk to the Service Manager tomorrow morning and air by beaf.

(Remember, Toyota/Pontiac vehicle!) Give the service manager an earfull, make him/her know about your legit concerns. If they refuse to help, go to a different dealer (if possible). Good luck!

I was referring more to the American car company customer service. I'm sure the Toyota dealership would not have taken this many trips.

However, there are signs that they are trying to improve. I do have to say that the customer service I'm receiving from my dealership (Capital Pontiac Buick GMC) is OUTSTANDING. They usually fix stuff the first time (I say usually because the clutch fix I recently had done doesn't quite seem to be right, but everything else has been good) very friendly service advisors, follow up calls, coupons for maintenance, etc. On the other hand, another dealer I used to use for my Z24 just sucked. Took several trips for fixes, ordered wrong parts, left the car a mess, etc. Switch to another Chevy dealer, never had a problem again. And that other sucky dealer hasn't changed either, my mother owns a Chev Tracker, the interior door handle was buggered up, they never even bothered to call her when the part (on the second order, the ordered the wrong part the first time..... sigh...) came in. She's switching shortly....Are there other dealerships you can try?
I would try another dealer, but I really don't want to switch in mid stream. There are not a lot of car dealers close to where I work and the Pontiac dealer is at least close to my home. Actually, the foreign car dealers are a heck of a lot closer. Might have to consider that with my next purchase.
I have had bad expirances at both foreign and domestic dealerships. My best expirance was at a Saturn dealership where I bought a USED car. The worst expirance was the VW dealership. Awesome car, solid, no squeks, etc. But horrible dealer service!
Beware of provocative maintenance, a lovely term that describes dealer service that screws up more things (including the greasy hand prints on the sun visor) than get fixed. I'll only go to the dealer if I absolutely can't fix something myself, warantee or not (notwithstanding a great dealer service department where I bought my old Saturn). Double ditto for simple maintenance like oil changes.
