nope--no discount. That is how they get it from the truck to the basement. To help eliminate all the stair walking. I have no idea how much they spent on that beer. I am afraid to ask....That picture was taken a year ago on the first Beer run. They buy it at Sam's so it's a little cheaper. I think the buying in Bulk is more for convenience than to save money....My parents are definitely Crazy. You'd think I would be a raging alcoholic.... But I hardly ever touch the stuff. It's so funny--when they go to Sam's they have to sign a waiver that says they aren't going to re-sell it, and they have to call ahead to make sure they have enough. Sort of like a to-go order for Beer. "I'd like 100 12-packs of Miller Lite to go Please......." Can you imagine what the people on the other end of the phone are thinking????? The people at Sam's are real nice though. They ususally have it pulled on pallets when they get there. Must be nice to be retired.....Party ON!!!!!

Wow, 100 12-packs. Thats 112.5 gallons of load mouth soup. Great pic! I just finish bottling my first batch (5-gal) of home brew. The hard part now, waiting 2 wks. for it to age. I also need to name my beer, any suggestions.

Vibe Ale has a ring too it.... I'd let it go more then two weeks though. Every beer I've ever brewed had to ferment at least 6 weeks before it was carbonated enough.

Here's the funniest thing----My husband asked my Dad exactly how many 12-packs of beer that a Chevy Silverado would hold......My dad promptly responded "112, I bought 120 and they wouldn't all fit" I guess that's new age math......or old age math.....however you want to look at it. My dad and stepdad are very good friends and we appropriately call them the "Miller Lite Twins".......I wonder if we could get an ad campaign going with that....they need some sort of income to support that habit.....And the beer runs get closer together in the summer.....they spend way too much time on the lake....Like I said before...must be nice to be retired....

quote:And the beer runs get closer together in the summer..... This reminds me of a song... It's called 'Beer Run' by a folk singer named Todd Snider. One of those songs that once you hear it you can't get it out of your head (kind of like a commercial jingle). I imagine it would be a great beer drinkin' song (I don't drink the stuff myself). Check out this website, you can download a sample of the song and the lyrics! http://www.todd-snider.com/albums.html

What a great pic! And a smart Dad to know the math so quickly on how much a Silverado can hold! Almost makes me want to buy one! LOLYou should ask him how many 12 packs you can fit in the back of a Vibe with the rear seats up and down also. That is a good piece of information that I may NEED in the near future with the Super Bowl coming up!
