Didnt think to ask when I called. They've already heard from me twice already today, so feel free to call them up and let us know what you find out!

I'm still in. I'm not at all happy with the delay, And I agree that JSP should give us a discount for the delay that was entirly their fault (i'd almost settle on free shipping), but it seems like if you want to mod your Vibe you should get used to delays. I've waited over a year and a half for the supercharger and all of it's delays. And I've waited for roof caps for over 2 years. And I'm still waiting on a better body kit. I figure that if this deal with the hoods does come through that I'll have an almost one of a kind hood to make my Vibe Very unique.

Yea, I dunno if I want to stick with this group buy anymore. I have a ton of other things I want to get done but I can't because I don't know if I should still be saving for the hood. I'll wait 'til June 1st but after that, if there's no news I'm pullin out.Besides the fact that JSP for some reason wanted to completely shatter their reputation by putting us through this?!?!?It's kinda like the whole body kit situation for me. I wanted a body kit for so long and no one made it, finally someone made one. I don't even like bodykits anymore for ANY cars because we waited so long. Also I'm wondering how Psychovibe can design, prototype, test, show off, and produce 13 full bodykits including fenders and roof caps in what seems like less time than JSP can make 10 simple carbon fiber hoods. I gues we all know which one is the most reliable and considerate company.
Ok so here is the deal.. jsp has to make 20 hoods because of the ocean freight.. for some weird reason he is still going through with the gb for those that have their deposits still in.. well he had a matrix hood shipped from china to test fit on my car.. i drove up there and test fitted it.. it was horrible.. first the fitment wasnt that great. second the holes drilled for the grill were all off... third they are still cutting edges.. and finally they are gel coated not cleared.. and the gel coat had fade, streak marks and hazzy spots through out the entire hood.. hopefully the quality is better than that.. good luck to you all
Bleh, what a disappointment I think I'm gonna get a refund on my deposit at this point since I also need a new amp and it seems like JSP it doing a hella sh**ty job on the hoodsIt's really just crappy that all the things that make a CF hood quality are totally lacking on the one made in ChinaIs there any chance I can get my deposit back after the hood ship and we get a picture of what they look like?

It seems that if you are making another hood with the mold of the stock hood right there in front of you, how can you mess it up?!? Apparently they are not doing quality work here and are putting their rep. on the line. $50 isn't much, and they can't make you pay the rest if you wait until they are ready and for a pic and such, so I'm going to stay in for now. Please let us know more as you find out Havock. We really appreciate it. If this is what they expect us to buy then they are going to be pretty upset when every person drops out when we find out about the quality. It will be entirely their loss.

Ok, well now I feel a little better. I was worried dropping outa the buy would make me miss out on something but from what you say I don't think I should feel that guilty. Thanks for keepin us up on things and giving an honest opinion Havok even though you're outa the company, I appreciate it.
I'd totally buy that hood if it actually fit right I love how that looks. If that one is already made for the Trix by another company(I've seen it already) Then what plans do they have for the Vibe if they don't have another hood to copy it from? Are they even working on a hood for us?I think I'm calling for a refund I can't wait any longer and I DO NOT trust this. If I spent this kinda money on a new hood and it was bad quality I would be hearin about it from everyone and I would be disappointed with myself. SO when I get outa school I'm gonna call to get the refund back and maybe if there's still time I can jump into the JP header group buy and still win something from ALL these long hard months of power saving.
This is NOT the hood I bought in for! This is NOT the design we agreed on, so I'm pulling my deposit.Email: aaron@jspamerica.com This is what JSP crapped out:This is what it was SUPPOSED to look like:I'm PISSED!
Quote, originally posted by trdvibe »yes, that middle piece looks lame! i don't blame you at all. i'd be pissed too!Not only that, but the leading edge it far too raised for my taste, AND it's a hood style that's been out forever...we specifically discussed this in one of these damn threads (here or mo.com), specifically AVOIDING this style. ARGH!!!
Quote, originally posted by Smokin’ Rubber »is that the hood that the guys for the matrix did get the hood they were expecting so I dunno if I wanna leave my deposit inNope, they were not expecting this hood..take a look at the last few posts. The trix above is how it was supposed to look for both the trix and the vibe, not this POS.PS That's Havok's car testfitting the turbo/invader hood
yes, poor business practice on their parts. never advertise, agree on something and then change it when all's said and done! i doubt many people would use them or recommend them to anyone! i know i surely wouldn't! but on the otherhand, atleast you know there really is a hood! lol
atleast it's only $50 and not the $400 i put down on that hood while back..... *sucker* but hey, it was a lesson learned! now i'm doing all i can from NOT spending money on mods for the new car. however, i DID take it apart and cleared the lenses... while phil was gone cause he'd have said no. lol

I assumed they were going for the invader, I didn't even realize they wanted the same hood as ours. I am considering pulling just because of the fitment, not the design. I actually wanted this style hood from the beginning, but to compromise I went with the alternative design so at least SOMETHING would get built, however, after seeing the fitment on the Matrix, I don't want to end up with the same thing. I know this hood has been around for a while, but it was not around for the Vibe, and I had been looking for it and even requested VIS build it for me once but they fell through on time. I may be the stupid guine(sp) pig on this one and see what they come up with, but until I see it test fitted on a VIBE I will not even consider sending any more $$$! I am pretty disappointed in the fact that they did not come through with the correct design and the fitment issues on this finished hood, but if they correct it and it fits right on the Vibe, I will be the only Vibe running with this hood! Someone's gotta sacrifice for the good of the whole, so I will wait and see what happens, but I am seriously reconsidering going back to my original idea of the silver kevlar CF instead of the black now that I will most likely be leaving the car silver.

Sorry it didn't work out for y'all.I was afraid that it would turn out like this and that's why I decided to wait to see how the finished product turned out first. I was really wishing for the best. Guess it was a growing pain for a few. Hopefully it might still work out, who knows?

I'm in the same boat as you Damron almost. I love that design but I don't trust JSP anymore so I'm pullin out and jumpin on hte Header train before it takes off.
hey guys.. yah i testfitted that crap hood on my car.. bad part about it is he only released pics where the hood looked good. i took alot more pics that day with their camera and the hood was crap. The gelcoat was crap and there were marks, lines and hazy spots through the entire hood. The fitment was crap and aaron is on matrixowners.com under the sn retailer trying to say the hood wasnt latched in the pics... IT WAS LATCHED.. i dont know why he is trying to pass off this crap product. Im very mad about this. This is one of the reasons i am no longer with that company. Anyways i sent an e-mail and pic to china with the vibe hood for a different style.. if they make it.. great if not this is probably what they will produce.. and its a gel coat and the corners are cut and its CRAP!!! and he had the nerve after i told him how crappy it was to try and sell me the test fit hood.. I was gonna take it and sand the entire hood down and re clear it but he never even returned my calls.. so im giving up on JSP completely

I've been in contact with Aaron via e-mail this week. Started out with great news, I was going to be the first to test fit the hood since it's now in their warehouse.Bad news is, that they only made an OE (stock looking) black carbon fiber hood. And now they want to know if we would want to have any sort of scoops or style to it. And he said there was a shortage of carbon fiber and that the colored carbon kevlar would not be available.Yes, I'm PISSED! 4 months of waiting and getting the run around for a hood that VIS already has for $200 less then what JSP is charging.I'm still going to try to help them and who ever doesn't mind waiting on getting the hood we wanted. Like I said earlier, I want to have a unique hood and since the ATR turbo kit should be done next week I don't have to worry about having to pay for both the turbo and the hood at the same time. At least now I can get some NICE fireworks for the fourth!
