I should have my Vibe within few weeks. I want to put winter tires on it and I have 4 14" alloy coming from a Cavalier sleeping in my garage.Do you think they will fit my Vibe?I konw 15" are ok but I'm not sure if 14" will clear the calliper.Anyone can answer my question?
I already read this thread but there's no clear answer about 14" rims.I know 15" fit well (Corolla come with strandard 15" wheels) but what about 14".I was considering 15" as well but if I can save some $ with my old Cav. rims, I'll be happy, espacially when it is for winter tire.I called my GM part dept and they told me to try it cause they don`t know if the 14" fits on a Vibe.Anyone can tell the distance between the calliper and the well on a Base Vibe?
quote:Anyone can tell the distance between the calliper and the well on a Base Vibe?Well you probably already know then that the bolt pattern (5-100) on the Vibe is the same as your 1992 Cavalier.I measured the distance from the center of my 16" wheel to the outer edge of the caliper and got about 6.5 (6-and-a-half) inches. Anyone else please confirm this data. This is a Base Vibe (no ABS). I don't know if there are any differences in the brake specs on a GT.
I checked and if the 14" wheels fit on the Vibe, the brake caliper will be very close the wheel. The only thing to do at this point is to try it. I will test it as soon I'll get my Vibe
