Pontiac Celebrates Kendra's Win On The Apprentice

Pontiac Celebrates Kendra's Win On The Apprentice Winning Contestant Created Solstice Brochure; Helps Sell 1,000 Roadsters in 41 Minutes DETROIT - Once you get past the stylish good looks and sexy curves, show business is just like the auto business. It's all about performance. Kendra, who becomes Donald Trump's apprentice after last night's win, more than proved her marketing strengths during her all-night performance to develop a Pontiac Solstice early order brochure. The brochure captured the essence of the two-seat roadster and proved to be a key element in a pre-order program that saw the first 1,000 Solstices sold in 41 minutes. By doing whatever it took to make the brochure a success, Kendra embodied the hard-working, young professionals who account for a significant number of early Solstice orders. "Pontiac's tag is ‘Designed for Action', Kendra's performance was just that," noted Pontiac Marketing Director Mark-Hans Richer. "We'd like to congratulate Kendra on her victory, her new job, and her new Pontiac Solstice." Pontiac is the performance division of General Motors Corp. (NYSE: GM), the world's largest vehicle manufacturer. Pontiac markets the GTO, Grand Prix, Vibe, Bonneville, Sunfire, Montana SV6 and the all-new G6 sedan. Pontiac sold more than 474,000 vehicles in 2004, ranking third among GM divisions in total sales. For the 2005 model year, Pontiac dealers are also introducing G6 coupe, Solstice and Torrent. I was in my Pontiac dealer a few weeks ago and picked up one of the Solstice brochures. It is pretty good.
