I drove down to the Bay Area this past weekend from Portland, and before I left, I was going to purchase a full nose bra to protect the front end from rock chips, but my friend suggested using blue painters masking tape to cover the front bumper cover for the drive, so I did. It took 10 minutes to put on, and when I got there, it peeled off easily with no glue residue and there wasn't one new chip on my bumper cover, and it only cost 5 bucks for the roll of tape (one roll did the trip there and back) compared to almost $100 for the bra.
uhm, you have to have a picture of this one! or is this some silly latebloomers april fools joke? seriously bro? painters tape? on a vibe? I can't believe this with out seeing it!

Try eBay for the bra.. Sometimes you can grab one for a good price. I don't know if I'd went to the extreme of taping my front end, but then again, rock chips are something that the Vibes paint is notorious for and if ya don't want 'em, ya got to protect the paint somehow.

don't order from GMdirect.com. i ordered one for phil's vibe 2 wks ago and still not even shipped. when i contacted them to cancel the order, they charged me a $20 restocking fee for an item they didn't even have! phil called the dealership he worked at saturday morning and they had it there on tuesday! he put it on today he said.

Thanks for the info, I've actualy been thinking about getting one for the Vibe myself. I just don't know if it works with the GM ground effects kit, those little things on the front bumber.
LOL, ya I got some weird looks but it was only for the drive down. They put large gravel down on the mountain passes here in the winter so it destroys front bumpers. I ripped it off the second I got there of course.

Good call on the blue tape. Racers do the same thing when they run their street cars on big tracks.I was planning on using the tape during my big caravan to the bay area next month. People may think it's funny looking, but guess who will be laughing when everyone else it scraping bugs off their bumper?
