Just got my seat covers installed yesterday. I saw somebody here recomended Wet Okole so I bought them from there, they looked like they were very high quality, which is exactly what I wanted. No Wal-mart specials for me.
They were kind of a pain to put on, took far longer than I thought. About an hour and a half. The hardest part probably was the driver seat as a whole. The back fit VERY snuggly, and the bottom was kind of difficult to get strapped down with all of the extra crap on the side and underneath the seat. I think they turned out OK.
I went with a little more subdued look, wanted to match the overall look of the car. I didn't want it to stand out with bright yellow inserts or anything. I might have if the Vibe came in the gold color that the concept vehicle had. But it matches the interior better this way, if you didn't know you probably wouldn't even know the difference. I spend a little extra to get some of the goodies like the "Pontiac" stitching and a storage pouch on the back side of the drivers seat.
Here is the storage compartment. The only thing that I don't like is the smell of the new neoprene. Hopefully it goes away, I am not sure if I want to risk Febreezeing it. The extra padding makes you sit up a little higher, and the side bolsters on the seat are not as pronounced, unfortunatly. I guess there is another thing I don't really like. But that will probably just take some getting used too.
They were $225 base. The Pontiac logo was an extra $60, and the storage compartment was $10. So including shipping they were $315 dollars. A little pricey, but they look much much better than a universal fit K-mart job.
Actually I went with the medium grey. The logo is the light grey. I definatly didn't want to febreeze them, I let them air out a few days in the garage before I installed them. That took out quite a bit of the smell. At least I feel better knowing that the smell will go away soon. They did not offer the armrest cover because I probably would have gotten it if they did too. I could probably do it myself if I ever got the ambition. I didn't know autoanything sold them, they might be more expensive anyway cause you are going through a middle man. And just to let people know the Vibe is not a car they have in their inventory so you will have to use the Matrix. I knew they were good for something.
Thanks!I did keep my order sheet, woohoo. I just didn't look at it when I posted. I am beginning to become adjusted to the feel now, and they are becoming more comfortable. I will know in a few weeks how comfortable they really are when I take a little road trip to visit my sister in Omaha. I will definitely post if anything bad happens to my (removed). I am sure you all will be on pins and needles waiting too.
