In my opinion if you can find an aftermarket one that fits the Vibe I would get it instead of the GM one. The GM one is too small and too expensive. If I would have known that it was as crappy as it was I never would have bought it.

I bought the GM one too, love it. If you decided to do something else, you might try getting some of the antiskid stair plates from Home Depot or the like. They are adhesive backed , and have a gritty finish.

I got mine as a throw in. I said, "I'll take it but..I need bumper guard and good floor mats." Salesguy, surprisingly, said "OK".-Smithers. heh.

I have one. It's better than nothing, but could be better. I wish it was deeper and had a lip to protect the top edge of the bumper. When I bought my TV a while ago, the store rep helped load it in my Vibe. He rested the box on the bumper and slid it in, pealing some paint off in the process. If it was deeper and had a lip, it would have been protected. I've been rear ended three times, so now the bumper looks like new after being replaced since then.

I love mine. It's great, I can rest the object on the bumper that I'm attempting to load into the rear area as I open the hatch. It's come in handy too as a foot rest while I tie my shoes etc... Since I sometimes live out of the back of my car, I find myself using it often.

Bought mine off eBay for $25.00. I entered "Toyota Matrix bumper protector" instead of one for the Vibe since they are pretty much the same car and Matrix products seem to be cheaper than Vibe ones. It has a "lip" and covers the entire edge of my bumper. I love it.

I've done some searching - it almost looks like the Matrix version might be a little deeper and cover a little more of the bumper? Maybe it's just the different pictures that make them look that way...Vibe:Matrix:

I believe that they are the same, just a different angle. It is good to have but it doesn't protect much. IMHO
