Ok, well, I am having some thoughts and things just aren't working out for me these days, so I want to get some opinions on what I should do. Original plan: Get front, sides, fenders, and roof caps from psychovibe, get rear bumper and top spoiler from RK(GAY)Sport, and get the silver kevlar cf hood from JSP America. I had planned to paint it all silver and be done. Then I started contemplating repainting the whole car a light metallic purple, but the hood started to come into question on how it would look with that new paint. Well, at this point, the hood appears to be(have) falling(len) through, RGAYSport gave up on the Vibe parts due to "lack of interest", and I ordered the rear bumper from psychovibe to complete the kit and will have to order the top GM spoiler instead of RKS'. So now what? Wait for the hood and keep everything silver? Paint it all purple and see how the silver hood looks with it? 2-tone? Dump the hood and get an OEM black cf hood? w/ Silver paint? w/ Purple paint? I'm lost. All my plans are taking $^*!$ and now I'm not sure what to do since I hadn't really thought I would need a plan B due to "promises". Just looking for some advice/photochops/whatever you want to give.

I would try and have some of the photoshop guys around here help you out with some visuals. I would think the silver Kevlar would look cool with a metallic light purple. Although, I'm not a fan of purple, it would probably look like a pretty good combo. Don't count on some of these companies pulling through in the near future. I've read some of the topics about the hood, and all that mess just sounds like it's going to take forever.get some visuals, and that'll help the process a lot.

Paint the main body purple, the bottom trim black. When the hood comes in make sure it's also black. The hood and trim colored the same will tie-in nicely and not look like the hood is a junk-yard replacement.

hmmm..i would have to say keep it silver with black cf hood. whether u get oem or jsp hood is up to u...the wait for it is not worth it i dont think...well c if it even goes though...as for looks...keep it silver..spend some of that extra cash on other mods instead of a different color paint....unichip maybe....or start saving for that s/c! hah...but in all....silver car with black cf hood...choice solution! IMO
My Car, with the kit on. it looks awesome! come and check it out, tell me what u think.P.S. the gray will be painted momentarily http://www.cardomain.com/ride/514882/1
i dont know how much you have to spend or what resources you have available, but the bodyshop i talked to by me said ti'd cost me $3,000-$5,000 to get mine painted (i was thinking about WRX blue). They said it'd cost so much 'cuz they'd "do it right" and disassemble the entire car so all the door jambs and everything were blue, not just do a maaco job. if youve got the money to do it i'd say go purple, ive always loved the personalized cars i see that are colors that aren't available from the dealerships.

Jason -- If you go w/ purple, I'd skip any CF hood and just go 100% purple. Also, I don't see the point in going OEM CF if you're just going to paint it. You're not at the strip or autoX, so the weight-saving impact is marginal.I say...1) If purple, go 100% and keep the OEM hood (or hold out for the Mscoop and go BCF, then paint THAT purple)2) If silver, go with either Mscoop BCF hood (since you changed your order), have it painted silver (or keep black).

I wouldn't mind saving a few $$ if they'll do a good job. I'm about ready to paint the whole damned car due to multiple door dings, deep scratches, nicks, etc. I'm just holding out for the fenders and roof caps. After cancelling part of my psychovibe order, I realized that the bumpers/skirts may make my ride TOO low for some of my everyday driveways and speedbumps. I already scrape my front lip leaving work, and there's no way around it.

I was planning on checking down there and now that he brought this up, maybe checking with Maaco as well.

BTW, if I go CF, then I sure don't want to paint it. I love that contrast of any color car with a black CF hood! It just looks sweet to me. That is one reason I was considering a OEM CF hood if the JSP thing doesn't go. I plan to wait for that, though. Just hope it doesn't end up being a huge waste of time and $50!
