A Grill Idea?

Post by DavidPIL »

Hey...After seeing all the variations of grill inserts that are available, I've been thinking about a possible different way to do em. Has anyone thought about, at least for the 03-04's, to use one grill across the front upper opening? Has anyone done this? I know the Billet design has a 1 piece for the bottom but have never seen a 1 piece for the upper.Well, I did some photo editing and this is what I came up with... Now, I must admit, my photo editing abilities aren't the greatest and really, the more I look at it, the more it looks too visually dominant but with a subtle dark edging, maybe? Honestly, it looks a bit much like a Honda Civic... I dunno, it was just a thought...What do you all think?

I think it loses a bit of it's aggresiveness when you take out that middle pillar, it almost looks happy now lol

You really can't do a 1 piece for hte upper because of how inset the grilles are...It's almost impossible to hide the center part, without fabricating a whole new upper fascia...

I like the idea though! We love pioneers!

I've seen some trucks with grills that go over a center beam like this one. It's recessed enough to be able to go over it, similar to the one piece bottom grills. Obviously, the pontiac logo would need to be either removed or covered (black vinyl maybe?). I also think there would be more of a shadow line below the hood and the grill itself would have to be curved slightly to match the curve of the opening.I may try it with some cheap mesh just to see how it will look for real. It'll give me something to do during the Summer when I need a break from work.Dave
