clicking noise?

I have a 03 vibe and now I also have this clicking noise just behind the glove box.I have taken the glove box off and can see that the noise is coming from right above the air filter where a panel goes back and forth when you press the recirculate (sp?) button just under the AC button.The odd thing is that it only makes the noise when that panel is closed (when I DON'T have the recircualte button press) .I was wondering if any of you have had this happen and any thoughts on what I can deo to fix it aside from just leaving the recirculate button on.Thanks in advance!!!!

Mine too. although in both open and closed directions.Did you ever get yours fixed?
