Squeak/creak noise
03 Vibe GT. There is a squeaking/creaking noise, in front of the driver, sounds like something is working in the engine compartment mounted to the firewall. Kinda sounds the same as the creaky clutch, but I already fixed that. It is not dependent on any pedal movement. I can be sitting at idle and it will do it. Only happens after the car is good and warm, maybe 30 miles. Related, and I think the same noise, after driving and the car is warm, if I park, leave it in gear and do not set the brake, I can rock the car back and forth and get a loud squeak from the engine compartment as the engine is rocking slightly back and forth. I'm thinking that maybe a motor mount is squeaking. Anyone run into this? Dealer is worthless, they can't even hear their phone ring, let alone any abnormal car noises. Thanks.

I don't know if the motor mounts are likely to develop a squeak or not. How about the exhaust? Can you have somebody rock the car while you are under the hood to narrow down where the sound is coming from?
