Do you put self-adhesive stickers on your CD-R? If yes, it is possible that the CD-R with this add-on will be thicker and cause this problem...

Good point VibeSalsa. Sticker can unbalance the CD and cause some trouble. But unfortunally, Vicken does not use sticker in her CD-R.I know you used different brand of CD-R but have you tried different color? Some CD reciver has trouble with green CD-R and are working better with silver or gold.

I agree with Ben's recommendation on trying a different brand of CD-R. Specifically, try buying a small pack of the most expensive brand-name blank CD-Rs you can find - Sony have worked well for me. Unforunately, quality does cost more when it comes to CD-Rs. The cheapies are fine for data backup purposes, but not for audio CDs. Although I haven't had this problem in my Vibe's stereo, I certainly burned several useless audio CD's that were fine in a computer but didn't read in a car's stereo. The symptoms were similar - some tracks might read okay, but some tracks would cause the player to whirr noisily as you described, skip a while, and then sometimes settled down several tracks away (or not at all).Don't forget to post back whether this worked for you or not! Hope it helps!

I forgot 1 point. Are your CD-R 74 or 80 mins. Some CD player have trouble with reading lastest track on a 80 mins CD-R.
