Paint buffing question?

Post by zionzr2 »

I just got a quote for having some light (keying like) scratches fixed on my vibe in various places from a AutoPaint shop here in town and wondered if this price seemed fair....It did to me... they said they could probably just buff out the scratces....I was quoted $125.

I guess that is what you would pay here for a good wax, so it doesn't seem too bad, especially if they are scattered all over the car.

I called a local detailing shop and they quoted me a price of approx. $110 for a 2 step process without seeing the vehicle. I didn't notice your post before or I could have replied sooner.

No $125 is not bad, considering it is all manual labor. Used to detail cars in college...

I had a few light key sctarches on my Abyss Vibe - I spent $8 on Meguires Scratch-X & & $12 on Mothers SynWax. The marks are barely even noticeable!
