Air suspension anyone?

Post by idontknowwhatimdoing »

Has anyone done an air strut suspension or sleeved bag suspension on their vibe yet? Who did you use for parts/bags and can you comment on the ride quality? Thanks in advance

No bags? Why? I think a framed vibe would look sweet in a lot...not to mention the added security requirement of theives of "dragging" off the car in order to steal it, and also the ability to adjust ride height for conditions/obstacles...with springs the drop is a bit more of a challenge if you want to adjust the height, even if you go with coil overs. I like versatility and that's why I am asking for advice.

ooo...ok that sounds s bit better I thought you meant bouncing it up and slamming it down so it sparks and stuff First time I saw one of theose stupid S10 Xtremes slam it on the ground on teh skid plates I just figured he didn't know how to use them...I didn't know it was suposed to be cool to do that.

Different strokes for different folks I guess...I am not into the "hopping" thing, just want to have the versatility of the bag for ride height and slammed when parked.

Easy Street makes a complete bolt on kit for around $2,200 shipped.

The lowest I have seen it is around $2500 and anywhere up to almost $2900 and I doubt either of those are shipped. Either way I still can't afford it. And you still have to add in installation charges as well!

The bags are about 800 for the four...and the rest of the system can cost about 300-500, these kits are for hoppers, not my application, I know a bit about pneumatic so Ican pull this off for way less, just need opinions on ride quality
