So i just ordered my Dropzone springs and i'm addicted to this stuff now. I'm always lookin for another mod (within reason) and I've decided that an intake and exhaust will be in my future (after the street graffitti bodykit of course. I'm looking for opinions on which cold air/exhaust combo will sound the best. Right now i'm looking at an AEM intake with a Borla cat-back. I've already done some looking and it looks liek i'll be paying about the same for any combo, give or take $100 so it's not really that big of a deal. I'm really lookin for a deeper sound, i konw its hard with the 1zz engine and all, but i want as far from the whiny ricer sound as possible. lemmee know what you guys think.

Just don't get a fart cannon and you should be fine. The combo that you are looking at should be fine. The CAI is basically the same from manufaturer to manufacturer. I have heard the Borla and MagnaFlow and didn't really hear much difference.
A bartender is just a pharmacist with a limited inventory.
I don't think there is a big difference between CAI you can find... I mean, the pipe can't be a lot different, it still has to go to the same place, maybe the filter can change, and that, you can go to any sportshop to find a lot of them. as for the cat-back, I can't tell for the Borla, but I do know the Magnaflow makes a GREAT sound. I have the impression, and almost the sensation, to have a V8 in from of me. The sound reminds me my father's '99 Mustang GT. I wanted to film myself from inside my car and post the clip, but I didn't find a numeric cam yet, and I don'T know how I will be able to make that video available...

The Borla does not include a new resonator so it is technically only an axel-back. I can certainly tell the difference between Magnaflow and Borla. Borla is not quite as loud, however I think it sounds a bit deeper and I like the tip better With Magnaflow you also get more power gains I think because of the resonator.I am bit biased towards Borla though since that's what all my friends have. One friend has a Borla dual exhaust on his 2004 Alero v6 and D*MN that thing sounds like it could eat a Cobra for dinner!
