pics of underside hole....

Post by Vibe_dude »

ok i have had a problem with water in the front passanger side this winter ..i thought it was just melting snow.but there was way to much water under the carpets when i lifted them out......not to metion the mold and mildew smell..grrrrrrrrr. so i went under the car and took this pic...some people have said that Gm forgot to plug holes underneth the car when they first came out......the 05's now have this hole plugged......i was wondering if this hole would lead to a leak in the front seat floor???

In your picture there seems to be a ridge where the plug used to be. I think it just fell out.

via the sticky "Advice for new Vibe Owners" thread in the "Vibe Lounge" section:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=3283It was one of the first things i checked when i picked up my vibe last year.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

GM Tech Link rocks. The Vibe isn't mentioned in too many editions, but I do remember running across that one. That gave me a good starting point for tracking down the water leak on my friend's Vibe, too bad that wasn't the problem. But seeing how GM deemed it necessary to point out the missing plugs, I'm sure that there are plenty o' vibes around coming in for water leaks and that's the culprit.I hope that will be the fix for whoever has leaks, we still haven't figured out where all that water is coming from on his car.

Damn...with as little as my dealer apparently knew about these cars when I bought mine...I should probably check and make sure those plugs are in there. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find they aren't there.

Holy smokes! Reminds me of whan I lost one of the rubber stoppers that go on the inside of the doors.. For this one tiny piece of rubber, they wanted like over $15 for it.If you're under warranty, let them deal with it. The dealer screwed up during PDI so they should have to deal with it, not you... In a perfect world, at least.

I thought I was the only fool that got ripped off on the door stopper.

LOL! Nope. Lost mine when I was cleaning the inside of the door after washing it. I thought "that won't be much, so I'll buy at least 2." Since I had previously knocked a couple off (but found them to reattach) I figured that would be a wise move. Parts guy was kinda like "um, you may not want to buy a couple of them."So I let GM pay for their $15 piece of rubber...
