Well, the inevitable happened today! Our baby got it's first real boo-boo. While my wife and daughter were leaving a parking space this morning, a car about 8 spaces away filled with 4 young girls in a hurry to get to high school after tanning at a salon pulled out about the same time as my wife. While my wife was backing out, they decided not to wait for her, but instead tried to go around her and the two cars met behind the rear wheel. Police said it was my wife's fault. I'll argue that case any day but hope the insurance claim will go in our favor or at least 50/50. No one was hurt in the accident, thank God. But our baby got a boo-boo. I left work early today to make the claim at the insurance office and went to get an estimate. A few scuffs and a pretty deep dent under the tail light was all that really happened to our car. Estimate total came to $1783.68 which I'll have to pay $500.00 because of my deductible. While I was at Mike Raisor Pontiac I had my oil changed, new filter, fluids topped, tires aired to correct pressure for only $20.00. Found out I might be getting 4 new tires under warranty. So the day isn't a total loss. Here is a few pictures of the damage.DENT & SCUFFSCUFF & DENTDENT & SCUFFSCUFF
hey...Sorry about your vibe... Damn, that just seems like a lot of money for the repair. A little off-topic... Did you have a good experience at Mike Raisor's? I went there when I was shopping around. They tried to push their last GT on the lot on me. Was a 2 tone Lava. THey were gonna make me a nice deal for that one but wasn't really what I wanted. They did a vehicle search and couldn't find one close to what I wanted. Funny though, there was a perfect match in Greenwood (except Abyss instead of Shadow). I just think all they wanted to sell me was the one on their lot. Oh well...Once again, sorry about the Vibe. Damn high schoolers!!!Dave

Damn high schoolers!!!DaveHey Dave, yea, I also thought that the cost of the repair was high until he took me out and showed me everything that they had to do to fix it. They will replace everything that got scuffed because when they repair it he said that it wont have that textured surface after they are finished and it would be very noticeable. Then the entire back quarter all the way up over the doors will be repainted, so they will remove the rear quarter window. He told me they will take off the side rail up top. I asked if he could have them remove the cross rails on the roof rack and replace the rail. He told me they would, so that saves me from having to do it. We have always had a good experience with them. They have always been so helpful and the salesman was very nice. They have never been pushy with us. The service dept. is excellent and the service manager is wonderful. My wife knows the owners son who also works there, so maybe that's a plus. I can see where they might want to sell you one off the lot but I can't see why they wouldn't do a dealer trade for you. My guess is this other one you found wasn't in the system yet. I actually bought the most expensive Vibe they had on the lot at the time. That was the one my wife wanted. lol . It was in the showroom and had almost every option. I now have every option that was available in 03 thanks to Ebay..lol.
Hey, sorry to hear about your car but I'm glad everyone's alright and no one was hurt. When are you going to bring it in for repairs? One of the reasons I chose the Vibe was because of Mike Raisor's excellent service. Definitely tops in my book around here

My guess is they will have the car for at least 3 to 4 days. Guess I need to ask them about that. One thing I noticed on the estimate was they have the color as charcoal. I hope they don't order charcoal paint when my car is abyss. lol
